17th October 2010 – The State of Sarawak celebrate the 89th Birthday Celebration of the Governor of Sarawak, HE Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng. Also present at the celebration is the wife of Governor, HE Toh Puan Norkiah Abdullah and Sarawakian State Cabinet Ministers. During the celebration, Chief Minister of Sarawak, Tan Sri Abd Taib Mahmud express his hope so that the citizens of Sarawak would preserve the unity and political stability so that the government intention to change the state status into a full-developed state can be achieve.



The State of Sarawak is the biggest state in Malaysia, bigger that the state of Sabah and the Malaysian Peninsular. It is also among the two states in Malaysia which have two cities. Sarawak diversity and rich with natural resources make the state among the Federation’s richest state. It is known for its state honorific as ‘The Land of Hornbill’.
