Opening Ceremony of ACMS Trent Park Limited

Their Royal Highnesses the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis and consort, the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin and Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah attended the opening ceremony of ACMS Trent Park Limited in London, United Kingdom. ACMS stands for The Allianze of University College of Medical Sciences which currently has set up firmly in north London. The ACMS Limited office was officially open by the former Prime Minister, Tun Abdullah bin Hj Ahmad Badawi.
ACMS Limited was establish on 13th January 2013 with a paid up capital of £100,000 to manage and secure purchased of of the building which was now the University College's campus. The area stretching 21 hectares on which formerly stood the Middlesex Polytechnic which was upgraded into a university in 1992 consisted of 20 buildings.
The ACMS Limited secured the property worth about £50 million in July this year following the shift of Middlesex University to its new campus in Hendon in 2012. Also attended the ceremony were the wife of Tun Abdullah, Tun Jeanne Abdullah, and President of the ACMS, Datuk Zainuddin Md Wazir. The Raja Muda, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin held the position as Chancellor of AUCMS.

Royal News Round-Up May I ; Sworn-In Ceremony of Perak and Perlis Menteri Besar

In May, the Radin's Blog (RB) still not yet finished covering the related news of the 13th General Election. We have witnessed where several Menteri Besar were reappointed while several States received a new one. In today royal news round up, we will cover first of the two last remaining States of Perak and Perlis which still not covered by Radin's Blog. In fact, both states have received their Menteri Besar as early as 7th May 2013.
In the State of Perak, the Regent of Perak, His Royal Highness Raja Nazrin Shah ibni Sultan Azlan Shah have consent to witnessed the Sworn in ceremony of Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir as the Menteri Besar of Perak. The Barisan Nasional have secured their victory in the State of Perak after winning 31 out of 59 contested seats in the last General Election. Dr Zambry were reappointed as the Menteri Besar for second consecutive terms. He was first appointed to the post in 2009 after the fallen of PR's Government in Perak when 3 of their Assemblymen defected to become Independence, yet allied themselves to BN. The ceremony was held at Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar.
On the same day, the State of Perlis received their new Menteri Besar when the previous holder, Dr Md Isa Sabu did not contested in the election. The State Assemblymen of Pauh, Azlan Man were sworn in as the Menteri Besar of Perlis before the Raja of Perlis, His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail in the ceremony held at Istana Arau, Perlis. Barisan Nasional won a stunning victory of securing 13 seats out of 15 contested seats in the election.

Korean Ambassador meet an audience with the Raja of Perlis

His Royal Highness the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail consent to receive an audience from the Korean Ambassador to Malaysia, Lee Yong-Joon at Istana Arau on Thursday night. Accompanied the Raja of Perlis were his consort, Her Royal Highness the Raja Perempuan of Perlis, Tuanku Fauziah ibni Tengku Abd Rashid. Also present were the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) and the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah binti Khalil Akashah.
Ambassador Lee was accompanied by senior officers from South Korean Embassy in Kuala Lumpur, including Economic Counselor, Park Jung Sung and First Secretary, Lee Chul, who arrived in Perlis yesterday after visiting the Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace Exhibition 2013. The Korean delegates also include Deputy Chairman of the Korean Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (Kocham), Baek Seung Ryeul and General Manager of Onsemiro Restaurant Malaysia, Kim Yu Ni.

One Child One Hope Charity Concert

Their Royal Highnesses the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and consort, the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah binti Khalil Akashah attended the Charity Concert of "One Child One Hope" held in Kuala Lumpur, yesterday. The group of Smart Reader Kids entertained the concert which is also attended by the CEO of Smart Reader Kids Sdn Bhd, Datuk Richard Ong.
In the ceremony, the royal couple also consented to witness the presentation ceremony of Malaysian Book of Records certificate by Datuk Danny Ooi to the CEO of Smart Reader Kids.

Agrotechnology Farm Day 2012

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail officiated the launching ceremony of Agrotechnology Farm Day 2012 at Sungai Chuchuh Unimap Agrotechnology Research Center, Padang Besar yesterday. His Royal Highness who is also the Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Perlis (Unimap) were accompanied by his consort, Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.

As the symbolic of the launching ceremony, the Crown Prince consented to pluck the mango from 'Harum Manis' breed, which is among the product of Unimap's research. Also present in the ceremony were the Vice-Chancellor of Unimap, Prof Datuk Dr Kamarudin Hussin.

The Perlis Investiture Day was held yesterday in conjunction with the 69th birthday celebration at the Perlis State Official Palace, the Istana Arau. Their Royal Highness-es the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail and Raja Perempuan (Queen) of Perlis, Tuanku Fauziah received the salutation during the inspecting of the Guard-of-Honour ceremony in the morning. Also present were Their Royal Highness-es the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.
The Raja of Perlis consented to confer the State Honorary Award and Title to 316 recipients in the investiture ceremony. The first in the list were the Malaysia's Inspector General of Police, Tan Sri Ismail Omar who been conferred the order of Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perlis (SPMP) which carries the title of 'Datuk Seri'. Also been conferred the same award were former chief justice Tun Mohamed Dzaiddin Abdullah and Public Works Department director-general Datuk Mohd Noor Yaakob.

Joint Task Force 2 commander (Kukusan Tawau Camp, Sabah) Brig-Gen Mohd Ezam Wan Chik is the sole recipient of the Darjah Dato' Paduka Mahkota Perlis (DPMP), which carries the title Datuk. Five people were conferred the Darjah Dato' Panglima Sirajuddin Jamalullail (DPSJ), which carries the title Datuk. Former Perlis mufti Assoc Prof Dr Mohd Asri Zainul Abidin is the sole recipient of the Dato' Bergelar award, which carries the title Datuk Arif Perkasa. Also included in the ceremony were seven people received the Setia Mahkota Perlis (SMP), 18 (Seri Sirajuddin Perlis or SSP), 27 (Ahli Mahkota Perlis or AMP), 63 (Pingat Mahkota Perlis or PMP), 107 (Pingat Jasa Kebaktian or PJK), 66 (Pingat Jasa Baik or PJB) and 18 (Pingat Perkhidmatan Lama or PPL).

Crown Prince meets Prof Dr Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail have met with Muslim infamous religious scholar, Prof Dr. Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi at his residence in Doha, yesterday. The Crown Prince led the delegates of Perlis Fatwa Council for a two-day work visits in Qatar. The one-hour meeting is to discuss the future of the Muslim Community worldwide. The Crown Prince also consented to present a gift to Dr. Sheikh Yusuf Al-Qaradawi in the ceremony.
Also attended the ceremony was the Mufti of Perlis, Dr Juanda Jaya and Malaysia's Ambassador to Qatar, Ahmad Jazri Mohd Johar.

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail visited the Oxford Centre For Islamic Studies (OCIS) in London yesterday. The Crown Prince is currently lead the delegates of State of Perlis Fatwa Council as the President of Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Perlis (MAIPs), State of Perlis Religious Council. The delegates consist of 7 members visited the OCIS to establish a relationship regarding to the development of Islam.
During the visit, the Crown Prince hear a briefing from the Director of OCIS, Dr. Farhan Nizami regarding the Islamic development in the prestigious university also saying that the OCIS are interested to collaborate with MAIPs.

Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong (the Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Hajah Haminah graced the Islamic Fashion Festival (IFF) which currently held for second consecutive year. The IFF event was held at Natural History Museum at South Kensington themed "Diversity in Modesty". It was held in aid of The Duke of Edinburgh International Award for Young People and The Wessex Youth Trust. The Countess of Wessex, Sophie Rhys-Jones, attended the gala with the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Hajah Haminah, who led the list of Malaysian royals in gracing the high-profile event.
Others were Sultanah Kalsom of Pahang, Sultanah Nur Zahirah of Terengganu, Raja Muda of Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah. Accompanying Tuanku Hajah Haminah was IFF patron Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor, wife of Malaysian Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

USM 45th Convocation

His Royal Highness the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail graced the 45th Convocation of Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) yesterday. Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin is also the Chancellor of USM. In this year, 941 graduates received their scrolls in the ceremony which started yesterday. In this year session, 2 person received the honourary degree and Professor Emeritus title, 710 received their doctorates and master's degrees and 229 received the Bachelor's Degrees.
USM crystallography expert, Prof Fun Hoong Kun and the distinguished pioneer of distance education, Tan Sri Professor Emeritus Gajaraj Dhanarajan would be conferred with the Honourary Doctorate of Education and the title of Professor Emeritus.

A Royal Banquet

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah consent to attend the Royal Banquet held at the National Palace in conjunction of the Installation Ceremony. Accompanied the King were his consort, Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong, Tuanku Hajah Haminah. Their Majesties arrived at the banquet hall of the National Palace at 9.00 pm and were followed by the rest of the Malay Rulers. The banquet was also attended by Datuk Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, who represented his father, the Sultan of Brunei.

Other guests included Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, Cabinet ministers, foreign ambassadors and senior government officials. Their Majesties and guests were also entertained by cultural dances and songs by popular local artistes.

It is the day of the Installation, and I enjoy one day of public holiday today. Here is some latest update from the ceremony.
9.28 am
The Installation proceeds since 8.00 am this morning. All the State Rulers and Head of States personally attends the Installation and none of them sending a representatives, with exceptions of the previous Supreme Ruler, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin. All titled royals from each respective State can be seen taking their place in the Throne Chamber. It is still raining in Kuala Lumpur, and probably the Installation will be started a little late from original scheduled. The Prime Minister, former Prime Ministers also can be seen in the ceremony. Still waiting for the arrival of Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah and Tuanku Hajah Haminah for the inspection of the Guard-of-Honour ceremony.

The arrival of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to the National Palace in Jalan Duta. The arrival of Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah were greeted by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib bin Tun Abd Razak.

The National Anthem Negaraku were played. And, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong enter the Seri Maharaja Chamber and greets all the State Rulers and Head of States.

The Deputy Prime Minister and wife followed by the Prime Minister and wife entered the Throne Chamber of the National Palace.

The State Rulers and Head of States enters the Throne Chamber of National Palace. Headed by the representatives of the Sultan of Terengganu. Followed by the Head of State of Sabah and wife.

The Head of State of Melaka, Tun Mohd Khalil and wife, Toh Puan Zurina entered the Throne Chamber. Followed by the Head of State of Pulau Pinang and wife.

The Grand Chamberlain giving the Al-Quran to the Supreme Ruler. Tuanku Abdul Halim kissed the Al-Quran and put it onto the rehal.

The Grand Chamberlain invited the Prime Minister to read the Instrument of Proclamation of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. The Prime Minister read the Proclamation and announced the proclamation of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

The Grand Chamberlain presented the Keris Kerajaan, Keris of the Kingdom to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah unsheathe the Keris and kissed it, as the very symbol of power and authority of the Supreme Ruler. The Keris was put beside the Al-Quran.

Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah read the Oath of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong. The nobat were played after the reading. The Daulat Tuanku were shouted three times and Salute guns were fired along with the playing of the National Anthem, Negaraku.

The Grand Chamberlain invited the Prime Minister to congratulate the Supreme Ruler to the Installation. The Prime Minister then read the Oath of Loyalty represented the Government and the People of Malaysia

The Grand Chamberlain presented the speech text of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.

The Grand Chamberlain announced that the Installation of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong have safely been conducted. The march-out procession of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong and Raja Permaisuri Agong from the Throne Chamber. Followed by the State Rulers and Head of States, including the Pangeran Muda Mahkota of Brunei Darussalam and Pangeran Muda Anak Isteri of Brunei.

Crown Prince lauch Titian Kasih Mega

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail consent to launch the program of Titian Kasih Mega held at Syed Saffi Secondary School in Simpang Empat, Kangar. The program is organized by the Tuanku Syed Putra Foundation (YSTP). The Crown Prince was accompanied by his consort, Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil. Also present in the ceremony were State Education Director, Dun Kasa and Secretary of YSTP, Datuk Johari Darus.
In his opening speech, the Crown Prince urged the community to solve immediately the absenteeism problem because it exposes students to a variety of social problems, especially crime. This students usually are exposed and vulnerable to various criminal activities including gangsterism, theft, drug addiction and trafficking and a host of other crimes.

27th Jam'iyah of Perlis Mosques General Assembly

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail consent to attend and officiate the 27th annual General Assembly of the Perlis's Mosque Officials Jam'iyah at Masjid Muqarrabin, Behor Empiang, Perlis. The arrival of the Crown Prince were greeted by the President of the Jam'iyah, Dr. Mohd Arshad Taib. In the ceremony, the Crown Prince expressed his hope wants the mosque institution becoming the zone of first class mentality to put the institution back to the Muslims glory age in the past. Other than setting the masjid institutions as the zone of first class mentality, its also must be made a zone of muslims brotherhood and solidarity.
The Crown Prince who is also the President of Majlis Agama Islam dan Adat Istiadat Melayu Perlis (MAIPs), Perlis State Islamic Council believed that the Muslims can unite and to realize the dream. His Royal Highness also believed that the Muslims doesn't have any problems to realize the zones as the Masjid is an essentials establishment in term of Islamic religious and social development. In the event, Rayzam Shah Wan Sofian and Noor Amirah Mohd Nafiah received the Athletes Award 2012 from the Raja Muda. In his speech, the Raja Muda advice fellow athletes to not become materialistic up to the extend received bribery and drugs misused just to get a shortcut to fame.

The Crown Prince also stated that, Islam is currently facing great challenges in economic sectors which are showing that Muslim are lagged behind. The Crown Prince have the confident that the idea of corporate endowment as those raised by the Congress of DPIM and all Islamic Councils in Malaysia in September last year is a move that could help generate economic development of Muslims. During the glory age of the Islamic empire, 'wakaf' are among the most important element in the administration of the country and a catalyst for the development and provision of national infrastructure.

MAIPs continue efforts to help the poor

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail consent to attend and officiate the MAIPs (Perlis State Islamic Religious Council) program of Program Tanggung Jawab Sosial Korporat and Malaysian Industrial Development Finance Bhd (MIDF) in the ceremony held at Masjid Al-Istiqamah in Telok Jambu, Bintong. Also accompanied the Crown Prince is his consort, Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil. In the ceremony, the Crown Prince received the payment of zakat from the Chairman of MIDF worth of RM740,000.
The Crown Prince who is also the President of MAIPs said in his speech, that the Council will continue the effort to build and repair homes of poor families according to scheduled. The steps are taken to ensure the welfare and interests of disadvantaged groups get the attention they deserves. The Crown Prince also stated that in 2011, the Council had spent RM3.6 million for the program, which involves building new and repaired 241 houses. While for 2012, since January MAIPS has issued RM812, 795 to build 15 new houses and repair 63 homes of poor families.

8 Perlis's Executive Councillors sworn-in

The first in the list to sworn in before the Raja of Perlis were Datuk Seri Diraja Syed Razlan Putra Jamalullail. Followed by ADUN of Santan, Sabry Ahmad and ADUN of Kayang, Ahmad Bakri Datuk Ali. Also taking the oath were ADUN of Sena, Abdul Jamil Saad; ADUN of Beseri, Datuk Mat Rawi Kassim; ADUN of Guar Sanji, Jafperi Othman; ADUN of Chuping, Mansor Jusoh and ADUN of Indera Kayangan, Dr. Por Choo Chor.
In the ceremony, the Raja of Perlis urged the appointed Exco to takes the job as a responsibilities and not because seeking re-election in the next General Election.
