HRH Sultan Ibrahim of Johor at the Tea Party

In conjunction of the 53rd Birthday Celebration of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, a Tea Party event was held at Dataran Bandaraya Johor Bahru. The Sultan Ibrahim consent to attend the tea party and mingled with the people. It is estimated around 10,000 peoples present in the event.

Accompanied the Sultan at the tea party were Her Royal Highness the Tuanku Raja Zarith Sofia; His Royal Highness the Tunku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Johor, Tunku Ismail Idris; The Sultan's Mother, Her Highness the Enche' Besar of Johor, Kalsom Abdullah (nee, Josephine Ruby Trevorrow) and other members of Johorean Royal Family. Also present at the party were Menteri Besar of Johor, Datuk Abdul Ghani Othman; State Secretary, Datuk Obet Tawil; Executive Councillors and State's Officials. Various food and delicacy were served like mi goreng, laksa Johor, nasi himpit, mi rebus, mi bandung, nasi ayam, sate, murtabak, traditional cakes and beverages.

The event was also entertained by artists performances and various ethnics cultural performances.

Dear Radin, thanks for good information about Johor Royalty. I like it very much. However, the correct honorific for HRH consort is HRH Raja Zarith Sofia (DYMM Raja Zarith Sofia)instead of DYMM Tuanku Raja Zarith Sofia. the Tuanku is use when we addressing HRH only. I know some might be confused when and how to use the word Tuanku since no official title yet until HRH to be crowned as HRH the Sultanah of Johor. thanks. ....emdy
