HRH Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah of Selangor mingle with the recipients of University Award in the 35th UPM Convocation Ceremony

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah consent to attend the 35th UPM Convocation Ceremony. This year, 813 graduates receiving their certificates in PhD, Master degree and Bachelor Degree. Also present at the ceremony were the Vice-Chancellor of UPM, Datuk Ir. Dr. Radin Umar bin Radin Sohadi and the university three Pro-Chancellors, Tan Sri Dr. Nayan Ariffin, Tan Sri Lim Ah Lek and Tan Sri Rozali Ismail.

In the ceremony, the Sultan also consent to deliver the Chancellor Gold Medal Award to Ng Kit Lin and Royal Education Award (Bumiputera) to Elmy Talip and Royal Education Award (non-bumiputera) to Ong Ban Shui.

The Sultan also consent to deliver the following awards :-

1. Alumni Gold Medal Award - Megat Marwan bin Megat Nizar
2. Gold Medal Award of Pak Rashid Foundation - Khairul Na'im bin Ya'akub
3. Gold Medal Award of Prof Ameritus Tan Sri Dr Rashdan Baba - Wong Yee May
4. Hadiah Putra Agribio - Low Wei Han
5. Hadiah Syed Kechik - Nurdiyana Binti Mohamad Tahir
