HM Tuanku Nur Zahirah and HRH Sultanah Haminah was greeted by the staff of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital
HM the Raja Permaisuri Agong (The Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Nur Zahirah gave her consent to spending time almost two hours visiting the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital located at Alor Setar, Kedah. The arrival of the Queen accompanied with HRH the Sultanah of Kedah, Sultanah Haminah was greeted by the Deputy Minister of Health, Datuk Rosnah Abd Rashid Shirlin and the wife of the Menteri Besar of Kedah, Toh Puan Faekah Sheikh Hamzah alongside with the Hospital’s senior officers.
In her visits, Tuanku Nur Zahirah gave his consent to contribute almost RM10,000 to the hospital. Her Majesty has visits the children, women and royal ward. The HSB starting its operation on 29th September 2007 accommodate around 828 beds, giving secondary and tertiary medical treatment consist of 11 fields of specialist and 22 sub-specialist. It was built in an area of 28.3 hectare and cost around RM552 mil.
