HRH the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail gave his consent to release fishes into the pool during the opening ceremony of Hotel Seri Malaysia in Kangar. Also presence is the Queen of Perlis, Tuanku Fauziah.

HRH the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail gave his consent to proclaim the opening ceremony of Hotel Seri Malaysia new branch in Kangar. The estimated value of Hotel Seri Malaysia Kangar is around RM27.5 mil is also the 21^st branch of Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia (RHSM). The hotel has 150 rooms comprising of 2 VIP suites, 58 families rooms, 88 standard rooms, seminar halls that can accommodate almost 500 persons and a restaurant. In addition to that, the hotel also equipped with free WiFi, Astro, swimming pool and a wide free parking area. In the ceremony, HRH Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin has advice to all personnel to always smile and generous to give the best services to satisfy the customer.

Also presences in the ceremony are the Menteri Besar of Perlis, Datuk Seri Dr Md Isa Sabu; Deputy Minister of Tourism, Datuk James Dawos Mamit; the Chairman of Rangkaian Hotel Seri Malaysia (RHSM) Sdn Bhd, Datuk Seri Shafie Mohd Salleh and Managing Director of RHSM, Zahriah Abd Kadir.
