Today is the coronation day of Tuanku Muhriz ibni Tuanku Munawir as the 11th Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Darul Khusus. The coronation is the peak ceremony after the proclamation of Tuanku Muhriz as the Yang Dipertuan Besar in 28 Dicember 2008 and also the proclamation of Tuanku Ampuan Besar Negeri Sembilan (Queen Consort). Tuanku Muhriz succeeded the throne after the 4 Undang of Negeri Sembilan has made a decision to proclaim Tuanku Muhriz as the ruler of Negeri Sembilan following the death of Tuanku Jaafar, 10th Yang dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan.

All citizens of Negeri Sembilan feel grateful for the proclamation as the throne has been given back to its rightful owner.

Daulat Tuanku!
Long Live the King!

BRIEF HISTORY

Tuanku Muhriz is the only son to Tuanku Munawir who is also the 9th Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan who reigns from 1960 – 1967. During the death of his father in 1967, the 4 Undang of Negeri Sembilan did not proclaim Tuanku Muhriz as the next Yang Dipertuan Besar as he is still 18 years old at that time. The 4 Undang proclaim Tuanku Jaafar instead.
Negeri Sembilan is differs from the other state as it is the only state in Malaysia where “Adat Perpatih” (The Perpatih Custom) reign supreme.

In Negeri Sembilan, the first prince of the ruler will not become the Heir Apparent, but an Inheritance Prince instead. Four Local Chieftains called Undang will choose the next Ruler (like the Elector) from 4 Inheritance Prince. In the history of Negeri Sembilan, there are 3 times where the Undang did not proclaimed the son of the Yang Dipertuan Besar to succeed his father.

Indonesia taking a new era during Susilo administration after experienced economic growth and political stability. Indonesia has the most Muslim population in the world and currently includes in the G-20. It is undeniable that Indonesia has rise into a new era. As the channel newsasia refer it as;

“The Garuda is rising”

COMMENT

As I always love history subjects and politics, it is an event I’ve been waiting for. Even though in South East Asia there are 7 democratic countries, only Indonesia and The Philippines has a President as both Head of State and Head of Government, or the system is called as ‘Full Presidential Republic’ with ‘Direct Democracy’. The only differs with this two nation is, Indonesia with 5 years term while Philippines with 6 years term. Indonesian President can hold the position for maximum 2 terms (10 years), while Philippines President cannot be re-elected.

The other country, Cambodia, Thailand and Malaysia is constitutional monarchy with Parliamentary Democracy. Singapore and Timor Leste adapt constitutional Republic with Parliamentary Democracy. Their system is differs where the Head of State and Head of Government is hold by two different person.

In addition to Audience and State Rooms, there is a Throne Chamber used for various occasions such as the proclamation of the Crown Prince and the annual Birthday Investiture. BN : Change for the better

Once again Radin’s Blog bring to you a newsflash of Malaysia Politics. UMNO AGM, MCA EGM, not to mention PPP’s struggle made me excited for the news. But, please noted that this blog is not a political type blog. The struggle of National Front (BN) component party to changes themselves in order to get back the support from the voters. In fact, after 2008 General Elections, one by one BN component party suffered a major crisis.

UMNO AGM

Photobucket

Started from 13 October, the United Malay National Organization (UMNO) Annual Grand Meeting is held. And the party has started a major changes this year especially make up a numbers of amendment in its party constitution. It is to make the party more transparent, inclusive and democratic. The party president, Dato Seri Najib wants UMNO to change in time.

The amendment is agreed unanimously by all delegates.

"We want the people to love UMNO. All they wish is UMNO to transform. Indeed we are listening to their wish. We will change.”
(Najib, source)

MCA High Council Meeting

The second largest component party has left without a leader after vote of no confidence has been passed to the Party President and Deputy President. And, the Party Central Committee has made a decision today to maintain Ong Tee Keat as the party President. While the party Vice-President, Liow Tiong Lai has been elected as the new party Deputy President. (source)

PPP Struggle

Photobucket
Murugiah (left) with Kayveas

Personally, I don’t know to consider this event as a party struggle, but the event is triggered by two people who previously led to a constitutional crisis to PPP. Senator T. Murugiah has filed a RM 10 million defamation suit against the PPP President M. Kayveas. Murugiah who is also the Deputy Minister in a Prime Minister’s Department claim that Kayveas has uttered false and malicious statement during press conferences on several occasions.

"What he said has tarnished my name and image as a deputy minister. Of course I have to do something about it."

Tales of Queen and Princesses

Assalamualaikum and Peace be upon all of you
Welcome to my blog.

As my blog has a special topic of “The Malaysian Royal Family”, thus, I have to search all over for my reference. And, in the research I found many interesting story and picture of the Prince and Princess, not to mention the King and Queen, including the story of the King of our past. But the picture are likely to lose one by one, thus I want to preserve some of it into a simple movie.

MCA EGM and Makkal Sakti

Assalamualaikum and Peace be upon all of you.
Welcome to my blog.

Today is a very important day for Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) and also for Malaysia’s politics. New political party is been formed today, Malaysian Makkal Sakti Party (MMSP).

MCA EGM

Photobucket

The tug-of-war crisis for two factions in MCA started with the controversial decision of the Party President, Ong Tee Keat when he dismisses the Deputy President, Chua Soi Lek. The supporter for these two politicians has made a tough time for MCA especially in this time of reduced support of the Chinese for MCA. Thus, the party has made the decision to hold the Extraordinary Grand Meeting (EGM) to discuss this matter whether to support Ong or Soi Lek.

And the delegates of the party have spoken. The delegates has voted a bill of no confidence to the President, and ousted the Deputy President from his seat.

With the decision from the delegates, the party now left without a Leader. The future of the Party will be discussed in the High Council of MCA meeting on 15 October 2009.

Malaysian Makkal Sakti Party (MSSP)

Photobucket

The new Party in Malaysia is formed. The inauguration is done by the Prime Minister Najib himself. As the Prime Minister for all Malaysian, he has the responsibilities to all. The new party is a racial party for Indian community.

With just 2 million populations, the Malaysian Indian is support by almost 8 parties. Among other are MIC, Gerakan, PPP, KIMMA, DAP, and MIUP. Which side should the Party belong? BN or PR? Up until now, it still an independent party.

Can this party receive support from the Indians? I still believe, no party in Malaysia can survive alone in Malaysia. (Especially racial based party)

Assalamualaikum and Peace be upon all of you.
Welcome to my blog.

Royal segment today will cover the Perakian Royal Family. We already cover 7 royal families and only 2 to go. The Perak Royal Family among the oldest in Malaysia. The family is descendant to the last Sultan of Malacca. Unofficially, the Perak Royal Family is the symbol to Malay beauties as many of the member of the royal family are undeniably handsome and beautiful. The ruler of Perak is style as HRH Sultan of Perak.

The 34th Sultan of Perak was HRH Sultan Azlan Muhibbudin Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Yusuf Izzuddin Shah Ghafarullah. He ascended the throne of Perak in 1984 and celebrate his Silver Jubilee of his reign in 2009. He died on 28 April 2014 after ruling the State for a glorious 30 years.

The consort to the Sultan of Perak is styled according to her bloodline. Consort of royal blood is styled as Raja Perempuan of Perak (literally Queen regnant of Perak), while commoner consort is styled as Raja Permaisuri of Perak (literally Queen consort of Perak). The current consort to Sultan Azlan is styled as HRH Raja Permaisuri of Perak, Tuanku Bainun binti Mohd Ali.

After the death of Sultan Azlan Muhibbuddin Shah, his first son, Raja Dr. Nazrin Shah was proclaimed as the 35th Sultan of Perak and styled as Sultan Nazrin Muizzuddin Shah.

HISTORY

The history of the state of Perak (Negeri Perak Dar ur-Ridzwan) begins in 1528 with the installation of Sultan Muzaffar Shah I, a descendent of Sultan Mahmud Shah of Malacca. The dynasty is thus directly descended from the old ruling house of Malacca. The lucky start to the dynasty's history did not last long as the the country was soon prey to competing Empires, Aceh, Bugis, Portuguese, Dutch, Siamese and eventually British. On two occasions, the Sultan and Royal family were carried off to Aceh, in Sumatra. The discovery of the richest tin deposits in the world in 1824 drew in a huge influx of immigrants, particularly Chinese. Coupled with complicated rules of succession to the Sultanate and powerful territorial nobles, a degree of social and political turmoil was inevitable. British intervention in 1874 brought about a semblance of compromise, when the then ruling Sultan (a usurpur) was induced to abdicate in favour of the rightful heir, in return for a pension.

A British Resident came to advise the Sultan and an Indian recruited military police force was established. However, the new Resident did not prove popular and was assassinated in 1875. Unfortunately, the newly installed Sultan had been implicated in the affair, so found himself deposed and exiled to the Seychelles. A regent was appointed in his stead, and eventually allowed to become Sultan, ten years later. He died within a month of his new sovereign status. His successor, Sultan Idris, proved to be one of the wisest and forward thinking Malays of his generation. The state greatly prospered and developed under his benign rule, finances were brought under control, and the first steps towards federation taken. Perak was one of the first states to form the Federated Malay States in 1897. However, the state suffered a great deal from the slump in rubber prices, following the end of Great War. Although Idris died in 1916, his successors proved to be equally advanced in their views. Sultan Alang Iskandar Shah, had served in the FMS police and took a leading part in the establishment of the Royal Malay Regiment in the 1930s. Perak was invaded and conquered by the Japanese on New Year's Day 1942. Fortunately perhaps, Sultan Abdulazziz, was not one of the rulers deposed by them.

The state joined the federation on 1st February 1948. It joined the other states of the peninsular to form the independent Federation of Malaya on 31st August 1957, and became a state of Malaysia on 16th September 1963

INHERITANCE

Photobucket

The rules of succession are more complicated than other Malay states. The reigning Sultan appoints princes of the blood (Waris negri) to certain high princely titles for life. They are arranged in a strict order of precedence indicating the order of succession to the throne. The relative precedence of these titles has altered from time to time, and additional titles have been included and removed. However, the current order, as confirmed on 25th February 1953, stands as follows:

Raja Muda, Wakil us-Sultan, Wazir ul-Azam Negara Perak Dar ur-Ridzwan
Raja di-Hilir.
Raja Kechil Besar.
Raja Kechil Sulong.
Raja Kechil Tengah.
Raja Kechil Bongsu.

On the death or promotion of an existing titleholder, the holder of the next most senior title, succeeds. On the death of a reigning Sultan, the prince holding the title of Raja Muda, the senior prince in the hierarchy succeeds him. The prince enjoying the title of Raja di-Hiler, becomes the new Raja Muda. The Raja Kechil Besar, becomes Raja di-Hiler, and so on. The new Sultan may then appoint his own nominee to the junior-most title made vacant by these successions.

p.s:-
(In other word, the first prince of a monarch is not necessary become the heir apparent to the throne. Your journey to the throne start if the reigning Sultan chooses you to become Raja Kechil Bongsu. When the upper seat vacant, you will promoted as Raja Kechil Tengah. Then, Raja Kechil Sulong. Up to Raja Kechil Besar. Up to Raja Di Hilir. And finally Raja Muda the heir apparent to the throne. The question now is, can you live long enough to be proclaimed as Sultan.)

**The inheritance line

  1. Raja Nazrin Shah ibni Sultan Azlan (1987 - present), Raja Muda of Perak
  2. Raja Jaafar bin Raja Musa, Raja Di Hilir
  3. Raja Iskandar Zulkarnain ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris, Raja Kecil Besar
  4. (vacant), Raja Kecil Sulong
  5. Raja Ahmad Nazim Azlan Shah bin Raja Ashman Shah, Raja Kecil Tengah
  6. (vacant), Raja Kecil Bongsu
**Subject to changes

Sambutan Bulan Bahasa 2009

PERASAAN

Dah lama meninggalkan dunia penulisan, nak menulis balik dalam Bahasa Melayu rasa kekok pulak. Sikit-sikit, ingatan ketika SPM datang balik. Bahasa Melayu antara penyumbang A1 saya. Tajuk karangan waktu tu.. “Kebaikan dan Keburukan Memancing”. =)

Kerajaan sekarang sibuk nak mempromosikan Bahasa Melayu. Perlu ke?

Photobucket

Mungkin ramai yg tanya begitu. Jawapannya tentulah “YA”. Pernah tengok iklan di tv? Maggi, Kit-Kat, Air mineral, milo dan lain-lain? Tiap-tiap kali tayangan, setiap hari mesti ada. Kenapa? Mestilah hendak promosikan produk masing-masing.

Tengok keadaan jer la, yg reti Bahasa Melayu tak reti Bahasa Inggeris. Yg reti Bahasa Inggeris tak reti Bahasa Melayu. Mana kerajaan tak risau? Rakyat Malaysia yg tak reti Bahasa Malaysia? Macam mana tu?

CADANGAN PENYELESAIAN

Photobucket
Akademi Gemilang dari pts. Kisah pengembaraan mutant remaja di Malaysia

Kemudian, pertingkatkan penerbitan bahan-bahan penulisan melayu.

Akhir sekali, sama-samalah kita memartabatkan Bahasa Melayu. =)

This is not a mere child’s play, Radin’s Blog today brings a serious newsflash when some of Indonesian activist declare war on Malaysia. The group is called as ‘Benteng Demokrasi Rakyat’ BENDERA (English = People’s Democracy Fortress) declare a war to the Federation of Malaysia, claiming Malaysia has ‘stealing’ many heritage and culture of Indonesia. For example, ‘Pendet Dance’.

Pendet Dance is a symbol of Bali . Why the heck should we Malaysian practice it?

Photobucket

DISGRACE

Even more frustration is this declaration is done after the earthquake struck at Padang, Sumatera. Rather than wasting time, energy and money announce this irresponsible declaration, they should gives their utmost priorities to their own citizens in Padang. After the Padang Quake, two more earthquakes struck at Western Papua and Northern Sulawesi.

Photobucket

This so called People’s Fortress should priorities their own people should they?

BROTHERHOOD

Photobucket

Indonesia actually a big brother to Malaysia and Brunei Darussalam as this region is united with the same cultures, heritage and most important, religion. Indonesian should play their role as a protective big brother for these two countries. Even having their best president ever, it looks like some Indonesian has some kind of inferiority complex toward Malaysia. They can accept Singapore, why not Malaysia?

During this hard time, Malaysia still committed to play a part as a good neighbor and has announced a rescue team to give help to the victims of the disaster. This region has seen many wars in the past and still developing. We never need war to begin with.

Assalamualaikum and Peace be upon all of you.
Welcome to my blog.

It’s been a while since I get in touch with the last by-elections. Today is a nomination day for state assembly seat (N31) of Bagan Pinang. The Election Comity announce the by-election after the seat is vacant following the death of Azman Mohd Noor, 55 (UMNO-BN) due to blood infection.

Photobucket

After the rejection of Independent candidate, the election is a straight fight between BN and PAS. BN place the former Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Isa Samad, 59, who is also Teluk Kemang UMNO division chief.

Photobucket

PAS meanwhile is represented by Zulkefley Mohamad Omar, 45, PAS’s State Commissioner.

Can BN win this time? Or will PR enjoy its winning streak since Permatang Pauh by-election? We will see on 10 October 2009.

Freedom... not yet

Assalamualaikum and Peace be upon all of you.
Welcome to my blog.

A month of October arrives. It is almost a month since I finished my Industrial Training. Most of my friends has ready for their big event in their life, graduation. Me? Not yet. Maybe I will graduate in next session, probably next year. At this time, I just stay in the house, finishing my final report. And, it is really depressing when a really cute Siamese kitten that you take care since its birth died.

And, yesterday, 3 earthquakes occur in South America, Samoa and Sumatra. The one that strike at Sumatera can be feel to some part in Malaysia. My mother also feels the small shaking in her offices. And the shaking is also feels to the state of Kelantan in the east. Make me wonder is Malaysia still safe from this disaster.
