The Deputy Chief Minister of Sabah, Tan Sri Joseph Pairin Kitingan today is the first in the list of 264 receivers of Federal Medal and Honorary Title from HM Yang di-Pertuan Agong (The Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at the National Palace. Pairin receives the Panglima Mangku Negara (PMN) which carries the title ‘Tan Sri’ in conjunction of the Supreme Ruler birthday celebration in June. Also receives the medal is the Chairman of The Nippon Foundation, Tan Sri Yohei Sasakawa.
In the ceremony, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin also conferred the medal of Johan Mangku Negara (JMN), Johan Setia Mahkota (JSM), Kesatria Mangku Negara (KMN), Ahli Mangku Negara (AMN) and Pingat Pangkuan Negara (PPN).
