Abdul Rahman re-appointed

Tun Abd Rahman Abbas receives letter of appointment from HM Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin as the Yang Dipertua Negeri for another 2 years.

The Yang Dipertua Negeri (Governor) of Pulau Pinang, HE Tun Abdul Rahman Abbas is re-appointed as the Yang Dipertua Negeri (Governor) for a new term. Abdul Rahman receives the letter of appointment from The Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, HM Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin for two-year period in a ceremony held at a small throne chamber at the National Palace. Abdul Rahman sworn in as the seventh Yang Dipertua Negeri of Pulau Pinang on 17^th April 2001 and re-appointed several times on 1^st May 2005 and 15^th April 2009.
