Raja Muda of Perak opens State Assembly Seating

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perak, Raja Nazrin Shah ibni Sultan Azlan Shah consent to open the 5th Session of 12th Perak State Assembly Seating at the State Assembly Building of Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan. Also accompanied the Crown Prince were his consort, Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Besar (Crown Princess) of Perak, Tuanku Zara Salim Davidson. After the Raja Muda arrival, His Royal Highness consent to inspect the Guard-of-Honour in the ceremony at the building vicinity. Also present in the ceremony were the Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Perak, Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir who delivered the text speech of the Crown Prince.

In his opening speech, the Raja Nazrin Shah expressed his disappointment as some parties especially the non-Muslims has started to dare across the line border of Islam, and some of them has grew increasingly loud to challenge any Islam religious topic in a form and tone of the statement to ridicule and belittle the faith of the Muslims. Thus, His Royal Highness wanted the open acts in violation of religious boundaries must be stopped and strictly prohibited as it can trigger a bloody conflict in the country. The reason of His Royal Highness speech is due to recent event where the matters of shariah and teachings of Islam expressed by the religious scholars, especially for advising the Muslims, is being questioned and debated in public by the non-Muslims.


The Crown Prince also added, any matters regarding of Islam consist in the Federal Constitution cannot be literally interpreted but must be in a form of holistic interpretation and associated with other relevant provisions to ensure that the real purpose of those provisions are not manipulated to deny the obvious rights of Muslims.
