Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong (the Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Hajah Haminah launched the 'Pekan Nat Pandu Putri' 2012 fair at the compound of Alor Setar Towe, yesterday. The fair is being held in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the Malaysian Girl Guides Association's establishment in Kedah. Tuanku Hajah Haminah, who is also the Royal Patron of the association, arrived at the compound of the tower at about 8.30pm accompanied by Kedah Girl Guides Association president Datuk Seri Tunku Soraya Sultan Abdul Halim.
In her speech, Tuanku Hajah Haminah also congratulated all members of the association for organising the fair, which is the first in its series. She also expressed hoped that the association would be able to lead the country's younger generation to a greater height. The Queen also spent some time visiting promotional booths offering a wide variety of agro-products.
Also can be seen attended the ceremony were Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda of Perak, Raja Nor Mahani.
