76th Convocation of UiTM


His Majesty the Yang di- Pertuan Agong Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah urged staff and students of Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) to leverage on resources, expertise and experience in various fields so as to optimise their capabilities. His Majesty said by doing this, it could help the university accelerate the transformation process towards making society progress in terms of thoughts, action, achievement besides always upkeeping noble values.

"Therefore, I hope graduates as intellectuals can play a positive role so that Malaysia remains a sovereign nation under our own rule.

"Graduates are future leaders who we hope will ensure the country remains peaceful. Defend the country, this university so as to continue its greatness to create a more glorious civilisation," he said when opening UiTM's 76th convocation at the university's Dewan Tuanku Chancellor (DATC) here.

Also present was Raja Permaisuri Agong Hajah Haminah.

Earlier, Tuanku Abdul Halim, who was installed as the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Jan 16, was proclaimed as UiTM's fourth Chancellor, succeeding former Yang di-Pertuan Agong Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, who held the post for five years.
