His Royal Highness the Tunku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Johor, Tunku Ismail Idris ibni Sultan Ibrahim consent to witness the submission of sponsorship worth of RM2.7 million to the Johor Football Team from Johor Corporation and its subsidiary Kulim (Malaysia) Bhd. (Kulim), Johor Land Berhad, KFC Holdings Bhd. (KFCH); EA Marine Services (RM200,000); Central Malaysian Properties Sd. Bhd. (RM50,000) and Al-Ikhsan and Lotto contribute RM250,000 worth of sportswear.
In the same ceremony, the Crown Prince reminded the players to not think about money to much up to the extend reducing their performance in the game, but need to continue to hunt for victory in this season Malaysian Cup. The Crown Prince who is also the Patron of Persatuan Bola Sepak Negeri Johor (PBNJ), Johor Football Association, stated that, the Scorpion team need to give their full commitment in each game. In this season, the Johor Football team consist of 10 senior and 14 newcomers including 2 import players since last October.
Also present at the ceremony were President of PBNJ, Md Jais Sarday; his Deputy, Datuk Abd Razak Hassan; Vice President also the team-manager, Datuk Abdul Aziz Sapian; the coach, K. Sukumaran and his assistant, Wan Mustapha bin Wan Ismail.
