On last Saturday, 11th May 2013, the Sultan of Terengganu and the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan appointed the States respectives Head of Government. His Royal Highness Tuanku Mukhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir reappointed Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan as the Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan for the third consecutive term. He was appointed to the post in 2004. The sworn-in ceremony was held at Istana Besar Seri Menanti on 10.56am was attended by Her Royal Highness Tuanku Aishah Rohani, the Tengku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan. Also present in the ceremony was the four territorial chieftains known as Undangs of Negeri Sembilan. They are the Dato Mubarak Dohak of Sungai Ujong, Dato Musa Wahab of Jelebu, Dato Mohd Jan Abd Ghani of Johol and Dato Muhamad Sharip Othman of Rembau. Barisan Nasional won 22 out of 36 contested seats in the State.
On the same day, the question of whom shall be appointed as the Menteri Besar is answered following the appointment of Datuk Seri Ahmad Said as Menteri Besar by His Royal Highness Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu for the second term. He was first appointed as Menteri Besar in 2008. The ceremony was held at Istana Maziah. Barisan Nasional won 17 out of 32 contested seats in Terengganu, just barely to lost the State to PR.
