In May, the Radin's Blog (RB) still not yet finished covering the related news of the 13th General Election. We have witnessed where several Menteri Besar were reappointed while several States received a new one. In today royal news round up, we will cover first of the two last remaining States of Perak and Perlis which still not covered by Radin's Blog. In fact, both states have received their Menteri Besar as early as 7th May 2013.
In the State of Perak, the Regent of Perak, His Royal Highness Raja Nazrin Shah ibni Sultan Azlan Shah have consent to witnessed the Sworn in ceremony of Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir as the Menteri Besar of Perak. The Barisan Nasional have secured their victory in the State of Perak after winning 31 out of 59 contested seats in the last General Election. Dr Zambry were reappointed as the Menteri Besar for second consecutive terms. He was first appointed to the post in 2009 after the fallen of PR's Government in Perak when 3 of their Assemblymen defected to become Independence, yet allied themselves to BN. The ceremony was held at Istana Iskandariah, Kuala Kangsar.
On the same day, the State of Perlis received their new Menteri Besar when the previous holder, Dr Md Isa Sabu did not contested in the election. The State Assemblymen of Pauh, Azlan Man were sworn in as the Menteri Besar of Perlis before the Raja of Perlis, His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail in the ceremony held at Istana Arau, Perlis. Barisan Nasional won a stunning victory of securing 13 seats out of 15 contested seats in the election.
