The Federal Capital bid farewell to Their Majesties the Sultan and Sultanah of Terengganu, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and Tuanku Nur Zahirah in a ceremony held at Parliament Square. The Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin returned back to his home State, Terengganu Darul Iman after serving as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, the highest position in the nation for five-year term from December 13, 2006 until December 12, 2011. Before departing to Parliament Square for the Official Farewell ceremony, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to shake hand to almost 500 national palace officials and servants.

Accompanied the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin in the ceremony were Minister of Youth and Sport, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek as Minister-in-attendance and wife, Datin Seri Che Sharifah Ismail. The departure of Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin from the National Palace were guarded Guard-of-Honour mounted by the Sixth Battalion of Royal Ranger Regiment consist of 3 officials and 45 members lead by Major Zaffar Ismail.

The arrival of Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin to the Parliament Square were accompanied by the Nafiri custom song played by 20 members from the Second Regiment of Royal Armour Cor, and was greeted by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib and wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansur. Later, the National Anthem 'Negaraku' was played and the 21-gun salute was fired. The Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin then inspecting the Guard-of-Honour mounted by the First Battalion of Royal Malay Regiment consist of 103 members lead by Lt Mohd Nor Azizan Yahaya. The ceremony ended with the recitation of doa by the Mufti of Federal Territory, Datuk Wan Zahidi Wan Teh.

After the ceremony, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin later bid farewell to the line of Ministers, Head Department and foreign diplomat before departing to Bunga Raya Terminal of Kuala Lumpur International Airport and returned back to Terengganu.

Hundreds and thousand of people line up along the road from the Sultan Mahmud Airport to the Istana Maziah to welcomed the arrival of Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin to the State of Terengganu.

November 11, 2011, yesterday were the 66th Birthday Celebration of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Salahuddin Abdul Aziz Shah.

Congratulation to the Sultan of Selangor of His Royal Highness 66th Birthday Celebration. Wishing His Royal Highness will reign in peace and harmony, with fair and justice.

HM Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to receive the arrival of President of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov who on a three-day visit to Malaysia. The President was given an official welcome at Parliament Square, Kuala Lumpur who arrived at 9.30 am.

The national anthem of both countries were then played by the Royal Malay Regiment's central band from the Sungai Besi camp led by Lt. Mohd Azizan Yahya. The President of Turkmenistan then inspected a Guard-of-Honour comprising four officers and 103 members of the 1st battalion Royal Malay Regiment, led by Major Ahmad Huzaimi Mohd Ali. A 21-gun salute was then fired. After that, Berdimuhamedov and his delegation were introduced to the Malaysian cabinets ministers and members of the foreign diplomatic corps present.

This is the first time visit of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Malaysia since becoming President on February 14, 2007. At night, His Majesty Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin hosted a State Banquet in honour of Berdimuhamedov held at Istana Melawati, Putrajaya.

His Royal Highness the Al-Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V been conferred the award of Darjah Utama Seri Mahkota Negara (DMN) by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin. The award was conferred by Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak on behalf of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong to Sultan Muhammad V in the ceremony held at Istana Negeri Kubang Kerian, Kubang Kerian Palace. Accompanied the al-Sultan of Kelantan were His Royal Highness the Tengku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra and other members of Kelantanese Royal Family.

Also present at the ceremony were, wife of Prime Minister, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansur; International Trade and Industry Minister, Datuk Seri Mustapa Mohamed; Deputy Finance Minister, Datuk Seri Awang Adek Hussin; Chief Secretary to the Government, Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan and Deputy Menteri Besar of Kelantan, Datuk Ahmad Yakob. In the same ceremony, Sultan Muhammad V consent to confer the Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Kelantan Yang Amat Mulia (Al-Muhammadi)(SPMK), to the wife of Prime Minister, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansur.

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail was reappointed as the Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Perlis (UniMAP) for five effective years starting from December 13, 2011 until December 12, 2016. According to the statement release by UniMAP, the appointment has been consented by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin.

The Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis was the first Chancellor of UniMAP who has been appointed since September 1, 2003.

Jawi Carnival 2011

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail consent to officiate the opening ceremony of Jawi Carnival 2011 and the Second National Jawi Writing Conference at the National Library, Kuala Lumpur. Accompanied the Crown Prince were Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil.

In the ceremony, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail expressed his concern over the current development of Jawi manuscript. His Royal Highness also suggested that the effort to propagate Jawi manuscript must be intensified and the learning of Jawi in the primary school must be continued at the secondary level.

Parade at Sungai Besi Camp

HM Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and HM Tuanku Nur Zahirah arrived at Sungai Besi Camp to attend the Parade of Gratitude by the Armed Forces.

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to attend the parade at the Sungai Besi Camp, in conjunction with the completion of five-year reign of Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on December 13, 2011. His Majesty were accompanied by Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong (the Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Nur Zahirah arrived at the camp at 9 am. The National Anthem 'Negaraku' was played and a 21-gun salute was fired.

His Majesty then stood on the saluting dais and took a salute before the Guard-of-Honour mounted by 323 officers and men from the three wings of the armed forces. At the same time, five armed forces helicopters carrying the flags of Malaysia, the armed forces, the army, the navy and the air force, flew past overhead. Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin then inspected the Guard-of-Honour, which was followed by shouts of "Daulat Tuanku" by the parade personnel. The ceremony ended with the doa (prayers) recitation.

Also present at the event were the Secretary General of the Ministry of Defense, Datuk Seri Dr Ismail Ahmad; Chief of Defense Forces, General Tan Sri Zulkifli Mohd Zin and the chiefs of the three military wings - army, navy and air force.

Reinforce Mission

Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong (the Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Nur Zahirah addressing the members of Malaysian Girl Guides in Terengganu today to reinforce their association's mission. Her Majesty the Queen also thanked them for their social work which included assisting children with chronic diseases, and expressed the hope that they would continue to embrace such contribution as part of their lives. The meeting of the association members were held at Istana Melawati, Putrajaya.

New Syariah Court Complex

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to officiate the opening ceremony of new Federal Territory Syariah Court complex in Jalan Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur which began operations on October 24, 2011. His Majesty the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin were accompanied by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Jamil Khir Baharom and Director-General of the Syariah Judicial Department, Tan Sri Ibrahim Lembut. Tuanku Mizan also spent some time touring the interior of the new building.

The construction of the new court complex, costing about RM96 million, began on April 10, 2006 and was completed on May 31, 2011.

Former Regent of Perlis dies

His Highness Datuk Seri Diraja Dr Syed Mahmood bin Syed Hussain Jamalullail has died at 93 years old. He was previously were the former Regent of Perlis passed away at the Pantai Medical Center in Kuala Lumpur. The remains of Dr Syed Mahmood Jamalullail were brought back to Perlis for prayers at the State Mosque at 9 am this morning. His was laid to rest at the old royal mausoleum in Arau at 9.30 am. His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil were among those who paid their last respects at the State Mosque and later went to the mausoleum located near the mosque.

Dr Syed Mahmood was the Regent of Perlis for about two years from 1960 - 1962 when the then Raja of Perlis, the late Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, was appointed as the third Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of then Federation of Malaya. He was also an uncle of the current Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail.
