The first woman to receive Maal Hijrah awards

Tan Sri Dr Zeti Akhtar Aziz received the Maal Hijrah 1432 figures award from HM Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin at the Maal Hijrah 1432 celebration takes place at Putrajaya International Convention Center (PICC), thus make her as the first woman in Malaysia to receives the award. She, who is also The Central Bank Governor of Malaysia, has contributed greatly to the country especially among the most important figures that contribute in Malaysia economic recovery from recession in 1998.

Her father, Professor Diraja Ungku Aziz also previously received the Maal Hijrah award.
