Raja Permaisuri Agong (Supreme Queen) was conferred DMN

Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong (Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Haminah consent to receive the order of Darjah Utama Seri Mahkota Negara (D.M.N). The award was conferred by the Government of Malaysia through Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak in a ceremony held at the National Palace. Also attended the ceremony were His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah.

Also attended the ceremony were the wife of Prime Minister, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansur; Chief Justice of Malaysia, Tan Sri Ariffin Zakaria; the Speaker of Senate, Tan Sri Abu Zahar Ujang and Secretary-General, Tan Sri Mohd Sidek Hassan.

Kuala Terengganu City Development Briefing

His Majesty the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to attend the Kuala Terengganu City Development Briefing that held at Kuala Terengganu City Council Building in Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Terengganu. The arrival of the Sultan were greeted by Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Terengganu, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said; State Secretary, Datuk Mazlan Ngah and State Noblemen. His Majesty spend about an hour hearing the briefing about the history, development and future planning of the City of Kuala Terengganu by the Mayor of the City, Datuk Adzlan Mohd Dagang.

In the ceremony, His Majesty suggested a features of traditional architecture been implemented in the city physical development so it can shape the identity of the city. The move was to ensure that the building emits its own unique appeal to tourists to visit this country.

Inauguration ceremony of Negeri Sembilan Audit Complex

His Royal Highness the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir consent to officiate the inauguration ceremony of the new Negeri Sembilan Audit Complex at Oakland Commercial Center, Seremban. His Royal Highness were accompanied by his consort, Her Royal Highness the Tunku Ampuan Besar (Queen) of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani binti Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud.

The arrival of Their Royal Highnesses around 11.30 am were greeted by Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and wife, Datin Seri Raja Salbiah binti Tunku Nujumudin and the Auditor-General, Tan Sri Ambrin Buang. Also present at the ceremony were four territorial chieftains of Negeri Sembilan, the Undang of Sungai Ujong, Datuk Mubarak Dohak; the Undang of Jelebu, Datuk Musa Wahab; the Undang of Johol, Datuk Mohd Jan Abdul Ghani; the Undang of Rembau, Datuk Muhamad Sharip Othman and the Tunku Besar (Great Prince) of Tampin, His Serene Highness Tunku Syed Razman bin Tunku Syed Idrus Al-Qadri. Also attended the ceremony were the Speaker of State Assembly Seating, Datuk Razak Mansur and State Secretary, Datuk Mat Ali Hassan.

The construction of the Audit Complex was completed in March 2011 and began operating in April 2011. This is the fourth building used by The National Audit Department since its inception 105 years ago.

A need of security at the beach

His Royal Highness the Tengku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah ibni Sultan Ahmad Shah consent to visit Zaleha Abd Ghani and her family at Kampung Sungai Isap, a mother of Mohd Zaiful, 13 and Mohd Saiful, 11, who drowned at Pantai Sepat when swimming in the sea. Also accompanied the Crown Prince is his consort, Her Royal Highness the Tengku Puan (Crown Princess) of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah. During his visit, the Crown Prince deliver a contribution to the family and urge the authority to establish a security forces to monitor the safety of visitors along the beach. The Crown Prince also urge the Police, Fire and Rescue Team and Kuantan City Council to take proactive measures in the highly danger coast area.

The Eastern Coast of Malaysian Peninsular are prone to danger in this time of year due to Northeast Monsoon season. It is the time of rainy season and rough seas. The area of Pantai Sepat is among the dangerous area, also claimed the life of Arvin Ratnam, 16, who drowned due to strong wave only a day after the death of Zaiful and Saiful.

The Crown Prince fully understand the attitude of visitors which hard to control, especially children. But at least with the existence of Police and rescue team on the beach, the visitors will be reluctant to play in the water.

Crown Prince's visit to SMSTSP

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail consent to officiate the Tuanku Syed Putra Foundation Program of Titian Kasih taking place in Sekolah Menengah Sains Tuanku Syed Putra (SMSTSP). The program taking 'Rakyat Perlis Bermentaliti Kelas Pertama', First Class Mentality Perlisian as its theme. Also accompanied the Crown Prince is his consort, Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil and his first daughter, Her Highness Sharifah Katreena Nuraniah.

In the ceremony, the Crown Prince also consent to inaugurate two rest-houses and Green Technology Park conducted by the student through guidance from the teachers. The Crown Princess also privileged to launch Woodball Club of SMSTSP. The club was founded by the school alumni initiative.

The Queen of Negeri Sembilan visited USIM

Her Royal Highness the Tunku Ampuan Besar (Queen) of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani binti Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud consent to visit the Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) in Nilai. The Queen were accompanied by his son, Tunku Zain Al-Abidin ibni Tuanku Muhriz and a member of the royal family, Tunku Dato Nazihan bin Tunku Muhammad Rus. The visit is in conjunction of the Queen's proclamation as the Chancellor of USIM last December.

The Queen arrival were greeted by the Chairman of USIM Board of Director, Tan Sri Dr. Mohamad Yusof bin Md Nor; USIM's Vice Chancellor, Prof Datuk Muhamad Muda, members of Board of Director and the university officials. The Queen were briefly introduced to the university development before visiting the university's vicinity.

In the end of the visit, Her Royal Highness consent to deliver a contribution worth of RM5,000 to the Darul Aminan Orphanage and Seremban Nursery Home.

Malaysian National Cloth ; The Baju Kurung

Assalamualaikum and Peace be upon all of you,
Welcome to my blog.

Perhaps most of us has already familiar with the Malaysian Federation status as the multi-ethnic and multi-cultural population. And Malay formed the majority of more than 50% from the population. Each and every ethnic are free to embrace and practice their culture in Malaysia. It is the sense of respect and solidarity to each other that makes this culture thriving in a fast changing society in Malaysia, and still can adapt with the country's modernization.

Today, we will focus on Malaysian National Cloth, the Baju Kurung. Nevertheless, the Baju Kurung is more synonym with the women attire, while for men, it is known as Baju Melayu. A full suit comprising three parts. The first is a long-sleeve shirt, of silk, or cotton, or a mixture of cotton and polyester. Next comes a pair of long pants, of the same material as the shirt. The third piece of the outfit is a piece of cloth called samping wrapped around and folded over the waist. The wearer may also wear a headgear in the form of a songkok to complete the ensemble.

There are varieties of design, especially after the arrival of Islam in the Peninsular and the emergence of Malacca as a thriving international port. Thus, with the dress code from the Islamic Teachings and the sophisticated design of fashion from all over the world, the Baju Kurung also exist in various form of style according to the State and local culture exist in Malaysia. Chinese New Year Celebration 2012 ; Perak State Level

His Majesty the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Yusuf consent to attend the Perak State Level of Chinese New Year Celebration 2012. The celebration was held at the official residence of Menteri Besar (Chief Minister), Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir at Jalan Sultan Idris Shah, Ipoh. Almost 15,000 people attending the celebration. Also accompanied the Sultan were his consort, Her Royal Highness the Raja Permaisuri (Queen) of Perak, Tuanku Bainun binti Mohd Ali. Also present were Their Royal Highnesses the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) and Raja Puan Besar (Crown Princess) of Perak, Raja Nazrin Shah and Tuanku Zara Davidson; and Their Royal Highnesses the Raja Di Hilir of Perak and wife, Raja Puan Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar bin Raja Muda Musa and Raja Nor Mahani binti Raja Shahar Shah.

Also attended the celebration were Speaker of State Assembly Seating, Datuk R. Ganesan, prominent members of Barisan Nasional (BN), Non-government Organization (NGO) and head of deparments. In the ceremony, the Menteri Besar and wife also gave out 'Ang Pau' to the unfortunate and children.

Inauguration Ceremony of Masjid Jame Kg Simpang Penyabong

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar consent to officiate the inauguration ceremony of Masjid Jame Kg Simpang Penyabong, Endau. The Masjid was built with a construction cost of RM1.5 million to replace the former 40 year-old Masjid. The construction of the Masjid is expected to give benefit to the 1,200 people living in the Penyabong Sub-District. After the inauguration ceremony, the Sultan consent to perform the prayer with the local congregation.

Sultanate of Perak since 1874 Exhibition

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perak, Raja Nazrin Shah ibni Sultan Azlan Shah consent to officiate the launching ceremony of the Sultanate of Perak since 1874 Exhibition. The exhibition were held at Ipoh City Council Hall. According to the Chairman of Perak Museum, Norjanati Ibrahim, the exhibition showed the history of nine of the Sultan of Perak and the State Royalty and Noble Princes since 1874. The exhibition started today and will end on February 29, 2012. The exhibition is among the tentative organized in conjunction of Perak Visit Year 2012. It will be open for public from 10 am - 5 pm including weekend.

Accompanied the Crown Prince to the exhibition were Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Besar (Crown Princess) of Perak, Tuanku Zara binti Salim Davidson; Their Royal Highnesses the Raja Di Hilir of Perak (1st Inheritance Prince) and Raja Puan Muda of Perak, Raja Jaafar bin Raja Muda Musa and Raja Nor Mahani binti Raja Shahar Shah and the Menteri Besar of Perak, Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry Abd Kadir.

The opening ceremony of Al-Sa'adah Complex

His Royal Highness the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir consent to officiate the inauguration ceremony of Al-Sa'adah Complex, Seremban. Accompanied him were Her Royal Highness the Tengku Ampuan Besar (Queen) of Negeri Sembilan, Tuanku Aishah Rohani binti Tengku Besar Mahmud. In the ceremony, the Tuanku Muhriz also consent to deliver souveniers to the newly converted Muslim brothers.

The project cost is about RM7.7 million where RM4.5 million were under allocation of Rancangan Malaysia Kesembilan (RMK-9). The complex Al-Saadah was built and design with Chinese architecture design currently serves as the religious center for Muslim Converter with an estimate number of 2,000 with two association operates in the center. They are Muslim Revert Association (MRA) and Negeri Sembilan's Malaysian Chinese Muslim Association. Also attended the ceremony were Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Negeri Sembilan, Datuk Seri Mohamad Hasan and Minister at the Prime Minister Department, Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.

New Exco Appointment

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah consent to deliver the instrument of appointment to the Sijangkang State Assemblymen, Dr. Ahmad Yunus Hairi as the new State Exco following the removal of Datuk Dr. Hassan Ali from the position last Friday. The appointment of Dr. Ahmad Yunus was made by the Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Selangor, Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim after a discussion with the President of PAS, Datuk Seri Abd Hadi Awang and Selangor's PAS Commissioner, Dr. Abdul Rani.

Dr. Ahmad Yunus, 47, sworn the Oath of Loyalty before the Sultan of Selangor was given the portfolio as the Chairman of the Standing Committee of Malay custom, Youth and Sports. In a small State Administration re-shuffling, two portfolio previously held by Dr. Hassan Ali, Islamic Affairs, Infrastructure and Public Utilities were taken over by the Menteri Besar, Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.

Datuk Dr. Hassan Ali removal from the State Exco position due to the fact that he is no longer a member of PAS after been sacked by the President of PAS and no longer represent it in a State Government. Even though losing his place as the State Executive Councillor, Datuk Dr Hassan Ali still retain his position as Deputy Chairman of the Majlis Agama Islam Selangor (MAIS), Selangor Islamic Religious Council according to his appointment by the Sultan of Selangor for the term of 2012 - 2014.

"Selvamany: More Than a Teacher" book launching ceremony

His Majesty the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Yusuf consent to attend and officiate the inauguration ceremony of a book Selvamany: More Than a Teacher at Royale of Chulan Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The book is a biography of Selvamany, who is currently 85 during his time serving as a teacher. The biography book consist of 280 pages depict the story of Selvamany during his 20 years serving as a teacher since he started his career in 1952 at Anderson Secondary School, Ipoh, Perak. He is intimately called as Cikgu Selvasamy by those who knew him, and always tells that he is more that a teacher, he is also a companion.

One of his student is the current MP of Gua Musang, Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah who described his former teacher as compassionate and very concerned about the problems of students.

In his speech during the carnival, the Crown Prince stated that the State of Perlis need to have good infrastructure and good, clean environment to achieve the target of becoming a full-developed state in near future.

Sultan of Kelantan foundation built three houses

The Sultan of Kelantan Foundation contributed an allocation of RM99,000 to build three houses for the poor with the corporation of Malaysia Building Society Bhd (MBSB). The three family is from Kota Bharu, Pasir Mas and Pasir Puteh District. According to the State Secretary, Datuk Dr. Zainuddin Ibrahim, the aid is one of the welfare programs that has been planned to improve the people's well-being and their quality of life.

The foundation also has collaborated to develop an agropolitan city in Kesedar Rantau Manis, Gua Musang involving 300 units and 300 units in the fishing village of Kandis, Bachok. The foundation also has collaborated with Zainuddin Foundation to develop 100 units of houses in Kampung Apam Lati, Pasir Mas.

Due to the absence of Tuanku Abdul Halim as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, he was represented by the Chairman of Kedah Regency Council, His Royal Highness the Tunku Bendahara of Kedah, Tunku Annuar ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah.

Among those who received the State Honorary title, Medal and Order were the Advisor to the Prime Minister, Datuk Othman Abd Razak. He was conferred the Order of Darjah Paduka Mahkota Kedah (D.P.M.K) which carries the title Dato'.

In conjunction of the 64th Birthday Celebration of the Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan, His Royal Highness Tuanku Muhriz ibni Almarhum Tuanku Munawir consent to receive salute from the Guard-of-Honour in a ceremony held at Padang Awam Seri Menanti, Kuala Pilah. The ceremony were organized by the State Secretary Office of the government of Negeri Sembilan. The Yang Dipertuan Besar (literally translated as 'He who is made king') then inspecting the Guard-of Honour mounted by 103 members of Malaysian Army from the 71st Royal Signals Regiment. The Guard-of -Honour was lead by Major Badrul Hisham Nasir Nordin.

Also accompanied the King were Her Royal Highness the Tengku Ampuan Besar (Queen Consort) of Negeri Sembilan, Tengku Aishah Rohani binti Tengku Mahmud, His Royal Highness the Tengku Ali Redhauddin and His Royal Highness Tengku Zain-al Abidin.

Also present in the ceremony is Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Negeri Sembilan, Dato Seri Mohamad Hasan and wife, Raja Datin Seri Salbiah binti Tuanku Nujumuddin. The four territorial Chieftains also present. They are Undang of Luak Sungai Ujong, Datuk Klana Petra Datuk Mubarak Dohak; Undang of Luak Rembau, Datuk Muhamad Sharip Othman; Undang of Luak Johol, Datuk Mohd. Jan Abdul Gani. Also present is His Serene Highness the Tunku Besar of Tampin, Tunku Syed Razman Tunku Syed Idrus Al Qadri.

The parade ended at 10.00 am in the morning and followed by a feast at Tuanku Laksamana Nasir Primary School located near the Padang Awam Seri Menanti.

Investiture Day

After the Parade, the celebration followed by the Investiture Day at Istana Besar Seri Menanti. For this year, 157 recipients were enlist to receive the Honorary title and award by the Yang Dipertuan Besar. Among who received the medal was the founder of As-Sofa Foundation, Muhammad Fuad Kamaluddin Al-Maliki who been conferred the Darjah Setia Tuanku Muhriz Yang Amat Gemilang (DSTM) which carries the title "Datuk".

In the afternoon, the cake cutting ceremony was held in the Banquet Hall along with luncheon for guests with the Royal Family.

The late Tunku Tun Maimunah binti Almarhum Sultan Ismail of Johor, the aunt to the current Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar were put to rest at Mahmoodiah Royal Mausoleum after Jumaat Prayer. She died at 4.50 am at her residence at Istana Bukit Gedung, Johor Bahru due to heart problem.

Tunku Tun Maimunah died at 72

Her Highness Tunku Tun Maimunah binti Almarhum Sultan Ismail al-Khalidi of Johor died at 4.01 am early this morning at her residence in Istana Bukit Gedong, Johor Bahru. She was 72. The princess has suffer several illness including heart problem, pneumonia, diabetes and several times suffered a stroke. Tunku Tun Maimunah was born on 12th February 1939 at Istana Semayam, Johor Bahru. She is the only surviving daughter of the late Sultan Ismail by his first wife, Sultanah Ungku Tun Aminah. The princess intimately known by her nickname of 'Tunku Gedong'.

She was married to Tunku Osman bin Tunku Temenggong Ahmad of Johor on 27th November 1958 at Johor Bahru. Her marriage to Tunku Osman produce two sons and two daughters. They are :-

Tunku Fatimah Faridah (1959)
Tunku Zahrah (1960)
Tunku Abdul Jalil (1962)
Tunku Ahmad Abu Bakar (1977)

The late Tengku Ainul Jamal binti Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar, elder sister of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah was laid to rest at Pekan Royal Mausoleum after Zuhur Prayer. The prayer was led by the Mufti of Pahang, Datuk Abdul Rahman Osman. The late Tengku Ainul Jamal was admitted to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital since last week and under treatment at the Hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU).

Present at the funeral were Their Royal Highnesses the Tengku Mahkota (Crown Prince) and Tengku Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah ibni Sultan Ahmad Shah and Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah. Also attended the funeral were the wife of Prime Minister, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansur; Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Pahang, Datuk Seri Adnan Yaakob and the Yang Dipertua Negeri (Head of State) of Melaka, Tun Mohd Khalil Yaakob.

Tengku Ainul Jamal died at 84

Her Highness the Tengku Seri Nila Utama of Pahang, Tengku Hajah Ainul Jamal binti Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar of Pahang died at 5.30 am at Hospital Tengku Ampuan Afzan, Kuantan early this morning. She was 84. The Tengku Seri Nila Utama is the sister of Sultan Ahmad Shah of Pahang. She was born on 3rd June 1927, daughter of Sultan Abu Bakar by his first wife, Tengku Ampuan Fatimah. She previously was married to Sultan Ali of Terengganu and for a brief period of time, served as the Tengku Ampuan Besar (Queen Consort) of Terengganu from 1943 - 1945. The couple divorced in 1947. She later remarried to Raja Abdul Jalil Shah bin Raja Shahar Shah.

Their Royal Highness-es the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) and Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail and Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil officially ended their 3-day visits to Melaka. The couple returned to Perlis after attended the State Banquet at Rumah Melaka, Bukit Katil after the inauguration ceremony of Rumah Perlis as the adopted house to Universiti Malaysia Perlis (Unimap) in Taman Mini Malaysia dan ASEAN, ASEAN and Malaysian Mini Park at Ayer Keroh.

Also present in the ceremony were Chief Minister of Melaka, Dato Seri Mohd Ali Rustam and wife, Datin Seri Asmah Abd Rahman; State Secretary, Datuk Omar Kaseh; State Assembly Speaker, Datuk Othman Mohamad; Line of State Excos and other Head of Departments.

In conjunction of Melaka 750 anniversary, The Crown Prince and Princess were brought to the popular tourist attraction in Melaka such as the riding a boat in Melaka River Cruise, Taming Sari Tower and riding a rickshaw. Other place visited by the couple and their 80 delegates are Pahlawan Square, Taman Seribu Bunga, Tun Fatimah Sport Complex, Bukit Serindit, A Famosa Fort, St Paul Hill and also Sultanate of Malacca Museum. The couple also spend their time at Perkampungan Ikan Bakar Terapung (PIBT) at Umbai Baru.

The Crown Prince and Princess also accompanied by their Prince and Princesses. It is also a special event as it is among the first public appearance of the son of the Crown Prince, His Highness Syed Sirajudin Areeb Putra Jamalullail who is currently the second in line to the Perlisian throne.

MSU 10th Graduation Ceremony

Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong (the Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Hajah Haminah consent to attend and officiate the first Graduation Ceremony of Management and Science University (MSU). In the graduation ceremony, 647 graduates received their scrolls in Diploma, Bachelor of Degree and Master Degree in their 37 fields of study from Tuanku Haminah. In this year, the University produced its first batch of Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) consist of 60 graduates. In the graduation ceremony, the Queen consent to deliver Gold Medal Chancellor Award to Muhammad Fairuz Shah bin Abd Karim who is also a graduate from MBBS program.

In her speech, the Queen reminded every successful graduates not to forget to give back to the university in any way, including through the alumni program. Pahang Football Team received RM60,000

The Pahang Football Team who recently won the Piala Emas Raja-Raja received an incentive of RM60,000 to the team from His Royal Highness the Tengku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Ibni Sultan Ahmad Shah. Pahang Football Team won the cup after defeating Melaka by 3-1 at Temerloh Municipal Stadium on past January 2, 2012 thus ending the team 31 years of waiting to become the winner of the cup. The submission of the incentive was held at Shahzan Inn Hotel in Kuantan by the Crown Prince adopted son, His Highness Tengku Amir Nasser ibni Tengku Ibrahim.

Three-day visit to Melaka

In the ceremony, the Sultan advice the police officers to not expect praise for any achievement gain by the police. The Sultan of Johor has a reason to be proud as his fourth child, His Highness Tunku Abdul Jalil was among them and leading the passing out parade. The Prince is the first member of Johorean Royalty to receive training as a Police Inspector in Series 1/2011. According to the Prince, it has been his dream to become a police since he was a kid. His Highness Tunku Abdul Jalil is a graduate from United Kingdom in Zoologist and Conservation.

(Kulim), Johor Land Berhad, KFC Holdings Bhd. (KFCH); EA Marine Services (RM200,000); Central Malaysian Properties Sd. Bhd. (RM50,000) and Al-Ikhsan and Lotto contribute RM250,000 worth of sportswear.

In the same ceremony, the Crown Prince reminded the players to not think about money to much up to the extend reducing their performance in the game, but need to continue to hunt for victory in this season Malaysian Cup. The Crown Prince who is also the Patron of Persatuan Bola Sepak Negeri Johor (PBNJ), Johor Football Association, stated that, the Scorpion team need to give their full commitment in each game. In this season, the Johor Football team consist of 10 senior and 14 newcomers including 2 import players since last October.

The Huguan Siou of Kadazandusun

The Radin's Blog today covers a topic from the Malaysian Borneo. Borneo population consist of a multi-cultural societies far complex than that in Peninsular Malaysia with the existence of various tribes and ethnic. Today, we will covers the unique hierarchical stature of the Kadazandusun tribes in the State of Sabah, the Land Beneath the Wind.

The community of Kadazandusun consist of 40 indigenous tribes ethnic communities in Sabah have its own non-political society known as The Kadazandusun Cultural Association Sabah (KDCA). Since its inception, the KDCA has focused much of its efforts in the preservation, development, enrichment and the promotion of the Kadazandusun multi-ethnic cultures.

In addition, the KDCA has the power and responsibilities to bestow the Kadazandusun Paramount Leadership Title termed as "Huguan Siou" (Paramount Leader), an institutionalized Paramount Leadership of the Koisaan. Upon the vacancy of the Huguan Siou's Office, the KDCA may hold Extra-ordinary delegates's conference to resolve the installation of the Huguan Siou. However, if no leader is considered worthy of the title, then the office would rather be left vacant until such time comes when a deserving Kadazandusun leader is undoubtedly established. This is in respect of the highly dignified and near sacred office of the Kadazandusun's Huguan Siou). The Huguan Siou will served for life after its installation.

Chancellor of Unimap re-appointment ceremony

His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail consent to receive the instrument of appointment as the Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Perlis (Unimap) for five-year term from December 13, 2011 until December 12, 2016 in a ceremony held at Bilik Biru, the Blue Chamber of Istana Arau. This is the third re-appointment of the Crown Prince as the Chancellor of Unimap.

Also witnessed the ceremony were Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah who is also the Pro-Chancellor of Unimap; the Vice-Chancellor of Unimap, Brig. Jen. Prof. Datuk Dr. Kamarudin Hussin and other staffs of Unimap.

In the ceremony, the Crown Prince expressed his hope so that the University staffs can work hard to reach the University vision of becoming among 500 best University in the World by the year of 2020. He also advice the students of Unimap to distance themselves from extremist movements that do not reflect Malaysian culture.

Don't demolished Madrasah Salihiah

The Persatuan Kerabat Diraja Kedah (PKDK), Kedah Royalty Association led by Datuk Tengku Zainol Rashid bin Tengku Yahya today asking the PAS's State Government of Kedah to not demolished the 100-year old Madrasah Salihiah as its has a high historical value to the people of Kedah. He who is also the Chairman of PKDK also pointed that many are against the idea of the State Government who wanted to demolish the Madrasah located at the 0.8 hectare wakaf site to make way for development.

Previously, around 1,000 Muslims attended the Munajat Program of saving the Madrasah Salihiah in order to request and strengthened the efforts in defending the Madrasah from been demolished in order to build a shopping center. According to Tengku Zainol, he is not against development but, demolishing a place/site with significance historical and religious value should not happening at all.

Assalamualaikum and Peace be upon all of you.

Welcome to my blog.

First of all in this fine morning, I wishing Happy New Year 2012 to all of my visitor, follower and blogwalker. We already leaving the year of 2011, and today is a happy first day of a brand new year of 2012. For me, 2011 is the year where I dedicated some of my time writing and managing the Radin's Blog as a full royal portal since the first day of 2011. It is a really challenging task and yet, full of happiness and surprised. Just imagine writing a story of 9 royal family in Malaysia, it is a job that really need a commitment. So, what is my expectation and hope for this year?

If i'm going to describe it personally, my passion for history has led me to where I am now. A royalist. I am in favour of the system of Constitutional Monarchy. It is undeniable that many people nowadays starting to questioned the relevancy of a hereditary monarch. But, history and record figure has speak for itself. The most democratize nation in the world is not a republic country but a Constitutional Monarchy. The Monarchy system is flexible enough to blend with democracy movement and can still act as a check and balance for the ruling government.

Nevertheless, in any part of the world and in any nation, there will exist a group of republican who try to fight for a full republic instead of a monarchy. But, in a democracy country, it is really unconstitutional to make this group shut (of course in the name of freedom of speech. Well.. whatever-lah). So, the only thing that can be done by royalist is to not at least let those group to gain any momentum. This is another reason for me to publish this blog to promote and to show that the royal family still relevant and stands for something.

If we looked at the State of Kelantan for instance, the Sultan Muhammad V has actually becoming the center of an image of Kelantan's Islamic State. He can even lead the prayer, and that is really something because not everyone is capable of leading the prayer. And, if we looked at Johor, the Sultan Ibrahim also proved to be a champion of traditions as he revived the tradition of Johorean Royal Attire of Dark Blue uniform introduced by Almarhum Sultan Abu Bakar.

So, it is hoped that the year of 2012 can be a milestone for the royal family to be a modern, democratize and relevant institution but still retain its status as a champion of tradition and religion.

We already reach the last day of 2011. Time flew by so fast. For me personally, I'm still feel that it is only yesterday we celebrated the first day of 2011, and tomorrow a brand new year of 2012 will come to us. So, let us discuss briefly what has happening in the year of 2011.

2011 SUMMARY

Many important and historical event takes place in 2011 for our beloved nation. Many believes that 2011 is the year where we witnessed the 13th General Election. Nevertheless, that doesn't even occur. In this summary, I'll will take the royal engagement as the first priority.

January

In January 2011, the major event happening in this month is the Chief Minister of Sarawak, Abdul Taib Mahmud marries a lebanese lady, Ragad Walid Al-Kurdi.

February

Ops Pyramid was launched by government of Malaysia to bring Malaysian students by air or sea out from Egypt due to the worsening anti-government uprising in that country.

March

The stepmother of His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin, Her Royal Highness Tengku Ampuan Bariah died at Seri Kota Medical Center, Klang, Selangor. Her body was flown back to Terengganu and was laid to rest at the Royal Mausoleum near Masjid Al-Muktafi Billah Shah, Kuala Terengganu.

April

Major event which occur in April 2011 is no other than the State Election of Sarawak, where the Barisan Nasional (BN) retain its 2/3 majority in the State Assembly. Abdul Taib Mahmud sworn in as the Chief Minister of Sarawak.

May

In May, His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kelantan express his intention to get marry. Even though the Sultan does not elaborate about the matter further.

June

The Sungai Johor Bridge, the longest fresh-water bridge in Malaysia was opened for public for the first time.

July

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Bhd (KTMB) ceased all operation at Woodlands, Bukit Timah and Tanjung Pagar railway station. The end route of KTM was relocated to Woodlands Train Checkpoint (WTCP).

August

Singapore government handed back its water treatment plants in Mount Pulai and Skudai and pump houses at Pontian and Tebrau to Johor state government ending the 1961 Water Agreement between Malaysia and Singapore.

September

An Iban hero during Insurgency, Kanang anak Langkau was conferred the Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang (P.G.B.K.) (English: Commander of the Order of the Hornbill Sarawak), with the title of 'Datuk' from the Yang di-Pertua Negeri (Governor) of Sarawak, Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin.

The Honourable Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia bin Awang Nassar sworn in as the acting Yang Dipertua Negeri of Sarawak for the period from December 27, 2011 until February 10, 2012. Mohamad Asfia signed the instruments of oath and declaration before Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Alfred Jabu, witnessed by Kuching High Court Judge Datuk Rhodzariah Bujang at the Dewan Lapau of the Sarawak Legislative Assembly, Kuching, Sarawak.

Land Development Minister Tan Sri Dr James Jemut Masing and Social Development Minister Tan Sri William Mawan Ikom as well as several other state leaders and community leaders attended the function.

Yang Dipertua Negeri Tun Abang Muhammad Salahuddin Abang Barieng is currently on leave. Abang Muhammad Salahuddin, 90, was reappointed Yang Dipertua Negeri for a two-year term beginning Dec 5 this year.

Panorama in the rainy season

Currently Malaysian experiencing a rainy season, where the only time of the year Malaysia gets more rain than usual. Several parts of Malaysia especially in Sabah, Sarawak and Malayan Eastern Coast badly effected by the rainy season and water level beginning to rise and flooding the area. We take a little break as the busy royalty life beginning to slow down a bit. (No news whatsoever regarding a royal engagement in the prime-time news this two and three days).

Here is some panorama of a rainy season during the vacation in conjunction of Christmas in front of the Astana (Palace) of Sarawak.

In Kedah, the people of Kedah still remember their worse nightmare during the Tsunami that hit the Northern States in 2004. Thus, the State Government built up a monument to commemorate it in form of a stack boat at the tragedy site. The memorial site is manage by Sungai Petani Municipal Council.

20 lost their home in fire

His Royal Highness the Tengku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah ibni Sultan Ahmad Shah consent to visit the 20 victims who lost their home in fire. All of their belongings were perished in the fire which started in 5.15 pm which also destroyed a line of 5 houses. The fire started from the middle house and started out of control fast. The cause of fire and total loss is still under investigation.

One of the victim, Junaini Loke, 33, said, she was on her way to perform Asar Prayer when she heard the news from her husband and hurried back. The Crown Prince aside from his visit consent to deliver contributions in form of cash and daily goods to the victims. The Crown Prince also urged the authorities to take care the welfare of the victims.

Karnival Hijrah 2011

His Majesty the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to officiate the launching ceremony of Karnival Hijrah held at Dataran Shahbandar, Kuala Terengganu. Also accompanied the Sultan were His Royal Highness the Tengku Seri Temenggong of Terengganu, Raja Tengku Baharuddin; The Honourable Menteri Besar of Terengganu, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said; Minister at the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom and Chairman of TV Alhijrah, Tan Sri Dr. Mohd Yusof Nor.

The carnival is a collaboration sponsorship by the Prime Minister's Department, State Government and TV Alhijrah also includes various religious and spiritual program such as Program Assalamualaikum, Forum Perdana and Bersama Ustaz Don. In the ceremony, the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to deliver contributions of school uniform to 21 students represented the 500 recipients from Dungun in the Program Jom ke Sekolah sponsored by Takwa Foundation and Jabatan Kemajuan Islam Malaysia (Jakim), Malaysian Islamic Development Department.

The carnival were held for three days from December 22 until December 24.

Sultan visits Flood Relief Centres

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar consent to visit two Flood Relief Centres in the district to see for himself how the evacuees were faring. The flood relief centres is at Sekolah Kebangsaan Sri Kencana in Machap and another is at Sekolah Agama Kampung Tengah. The Sekolah Agama Kampung Tengah in the Kluang district houses the largest number of evacuees, exceeding 800. Kluang is the worst-affected of five districts hit by floods, with the total number of evacuees at 12 centres standing at 2,154.

The sultan arrived at Sekolah Agama Kampung Tengah at about 2 pm and spent some time talking to the evacuees and enquiring about their welfare. He advised children not to play in the floodwaters. The National Security Council portal reported that as at 10 am today, the number of evacuees in Johor had dropped to 2,991 from 3,265 overnight.

Besides Kluang, the other districts affected by floods in the state are Batu Pahat, Pontian, Segamat and Kulaijaya.

Masjid Sultan Ismail proclamation ceremony

His Majesty the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to officiate the proclamation ceremony of Masjid Sultan Ismail located at the state capital of Kuala Terengganu. The masjid previously known as Masjid Raja Chendering were built in 2008 with a construction cost of RM7.5 million. It is completed on May 2011 and was among of 491 Masjid in all of Terengganu. Accompanied the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin were his two sons, His Royal Highness the Yang Dipertuan Muda (Crown Prince) of Terengganu, Tengku Muhammad Ismail and His Highness Tengku Muhammad Mu'az. Also attending the ceremony were Menteri Besar of Terengganu, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said and other State Officials and nobility.

In the ceremony, HM Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin expressed his sadness and upset as some of the masjid around the State still having two Jumaat Prayers in one qariah of Masjid. The Sultan also urge the people to search for a solution and takes Prophet Muhammad as an example who succeeded to unite the two tribes of Aus and Khazraj. The Sultan also consent to perform the Friday prayer alongside 1,000 jamaat at the masjid.

December 13, 2011, HM Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin returned back to Terengganu to rule the state after serving as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia for full five-year term. If he fortunate and have a long life, he will be back again on the throne after the rotation system returned again to Terengganu to ascend the throne as the Supreme Head of the Federation. Currently, His Majesty Tuanku Abdul Halim of Kedah was proclaimed as King.

As old as he may seem, his first public duty as the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong started on the same day. His Majesty Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah consent to host a State Banquet at the Istana Negara in conjunction of the 227th Meeting (Special) of the Conference of Rulers and the Inauguration ceremony of the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong. Almost 600 people attending the banquet including Prime Minister Mohd Najib and his Deputy Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin alongside their wife.

Meanwhile, the still young and energetic Sultan of Terengganu, His Majesty Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin also starting his first royal engagement after returning back to Terengganu.

His Majesty consent to confer the Darjah Kerabat Diraja (D.K.R) to his first son and heir apparent, His Royal Highness the Yang Dipertuan Muda (Crown Prince) of Terengganu, Tengku Muhammad Ismail. Also attending the ceremony were Her Majesty the Sultanah of Terengganu, Sultanah Nur Zahirah and Menteri Besar of Terengganu, Dato' Seri Ahmad Said.

The dawn of a new Era

After serving for full five-year term, His Majesty Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin of Terengganu step down and bid farewell to the Federal Capital. In Malaysia, the Yang di-Pertuan Agong is the highest position and authority in the Federation. He is the Supreme Ruler, Commander of the armed forces and the Head of Islam. The throne is rotated among the nine Malay rulers in Malaysia and can only served for maximum five-year term.

Thus, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin has completed his responsibility and returned back to his home state, Terengganu Darul Iman. His reign always will be in the heart of Malaysian as Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin is dubbed as 'the best Agong ever'. Just imagine, when he ascended the throne in 2006, he is just 45. Among the youngest Agong, a handsome and fearless gal-lad and not to mention having a beautiful consort by his side.

His Majesty Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah of Kedah today took the oath of office as the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong at a ceremony steeped in royal traditions at Istana Negara, Kuala Lumpur. This is the second time that Tuanku Abdul Halim has been chosen as King, the first time from Jan 21, 1970 to Sept 20, 1975, having been appointed to the post at age 43, making him among the youngest Malay rulers to hold the post.

Tuanku Abdul Halim, 84, who was before this the Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong since Dec 13, 2006, replaces the Sultan of Terengganu, Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin, who ended his term as the 13th Yang di-Pertuan Agong yesterday. Tuanku Halim was chosen by the Malay rulers the second time for the post at the 226th (Special) Meeting of the Conference of Rulers held at Istana Negara on Oct 14, 2011 for a five-year period, effective on December 13. The rotation system for the post of Yang di-Pertuan Agong among the nine Malay hereditary rulers began since the country's independence on Aug 31, 1957.

The ceremony was the first held at the new, magestic and sprawling Istana Negara which bears Islamic and Malay architectural elements and located on a 96.52ha site in Jalan Duta, here. The ceremony began at 11.15am, with the 227th (Special) Meeting of the Conference of Rulers convened in conjunction with the taking of oath and signing of the instrument of office at the Balairong Seri (Throne Room). The meeting was chaired by the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail. The Keeper of the Rulers' Seal, Datuk Syed Danial Syed Ahmad, presented the instrument of office to Tuanku Abdul Halim, who was in a Kedah royal attire called Sikap consisting of a short jacket with a high collar, tenggolok (headdress), long pants, sampin, bengkung (cummerband) and complete with a keris (Malay dagger).

Tuanku Abdul Halim then made the pledge and signed the instrument of office before the other rulers. The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah, and Sultan of Pahang, Sultan Ahmad Shah, were the witnesses to the signing of the document. The ceremony proceeded with the taking of oath and signing of the instrument of office as Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong by the Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V, 42, followed by the reciting of the "doa" by the chief imam of the National Mosque, Tan Sri Syaikh Ismail Muhammad. The Keeper of the Rulers' Seal then asked for the meeting of the Conference of Rulers be adjourned to another date to be determined later.

The ceremony continued with the signing of the proclamation of appointment letter by Tuanku Abdul Halim as Yang di-Pertuan Agong, with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak then reading out the proclamation. This was followed by the signing of the proclamation of appointment letter by Sultan Muhammad V as Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong and the proclamation also read out by Najib. The ceremony was attended by all the Malay rulers of the respective states except Terengganu, which was represented by Tengku Sri Temenggong Raja, Tengku Baharuddin Ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah.

Also present were the four Yang Dipertua Negeri, Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin, cabinet ministers and heads of department. The ceremony which was broadcast live over RTM1, ended with the reciting of the "doa" by Federal Territory Mufti Datuk Wan Zahidi Wan Teh. Tuanku Abdul Halim then met with the cabinet ministers and heads of department led by Najib in the Seri Mahkota Room of the palace.

Crown Prince visits the flood victims

His Royal Highness the Tengku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Pahang consent to visit the flood victims in the District of Rompin. Also accompanied the Crown Prince is his consort, Her Royal Highness the Tengku Puan (Crown Princess) of Pahang, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Iskandariah and the Member of Parliament of Rompin Constituency, Datuk Seri Dr Jamaluddin Jarjis.

The number of flood victims in the state of Pahang has risen to 1,652 up to date. All of them coming from almost 18 villages which affected by flood in the District of Kuantan and 4 villages from the District of Rompin. The villages affected in the District of Kuantan are Kampung Seri Kuantan, Baru 3, Batu 4, Teluk Mahang, Sungai Belat, Kampung Belukar, Kampung Kurnia, Kampung Razali, Kampung Tiram, Kampung Segantang Lada, Kampung Tanah Putih, Cenderawasih, Kampung Seri Damai, Gudang Rasau, Jaya Gading and Gudang Rasau. While the 4 villages affected in the Rompin District is the settlement of aborigines tribes of Kampung Janglau, Kampung Perepat, Kampung Kurnia, Kampung Kerpai and Kampung Paya Laka.

One evacuation center in the District of Pekan has been closed as the flood in the district has already subsided.

Kedah Regency Council

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah, Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah consent to appoint the members of Kedah Regency Council in a ceremony held at Istana Anak Bukit, Kedah. The council was set to administer the state on the absence of the Sultan of Kedah who will be departed to the Federal Capital to serve as the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong starting on December 13, 2011.

The appointment of the Regency Council consist of three younger brothers of Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah and his only daughter. They are :-

His Royal Highness the Tunku Bendahara of Kedah, Tunku Annuar ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah. The Chairman of the Regency Council.
His Royal Highness the Tunku Temenggong of Kedah, Tunku Sallehuddin ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah.

The appointment of the Regency Council were made according to the Article 18(2)(a) stated that a Regent or a Regency Council to be appointed by the reigning Sultan to rule the state in the absence of a ruling Sultan.

The appointment ceremony were made around 10 am after the arrival of Their Royal Highness-es the Sultan and Sultanah of Kedah to the throne chamber. The instrument of proclamation were read by the Secretary of State, Datuk Rasli Basir. All four members of the Regency Council take their oath before the Sultan and Sultanah of Kedah, witnessed by High Court Judge, Datuk Mohd Azman Husin and Syariah Chief Judge, Datuk Syeikh Yahya Jusoh.

The ceremony ended after a nine-gun salute was fired and a recitation of Doa of the Mufti of Kedah, Datuk Syeikh Muhamad Baderudin Ahmad.

The Federal Capital bid farewell to Their Majesties the Sultan and Sultanah of Terengganu, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and Tuanku Nur Zahirah in a ceremony held at Parliament Square. The Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin returned back to his home State, Terengganu Darul Iman after serving as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, the highest position in the nation for five-year term from December 13, 2006 until December 12, 2011. Before departing to Parliament Square for the Official Farewell ceremony, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to shake hand to almost 500 national palace officials and servants.

Accompanied the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin in the ceremony were Minister of Youth and Sport, Datuk Seri Ahmad Shabery Cheek as Minister-in-attendance and wife, Datin Seri Che Sharifah Ismail. The departure of Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin from the National Palace were guarded Guard-of-Honour mounted by the Sixth Battalion of Royal Ranger Regiment consist of 3 officials and 45 members lead by Major Zaffar Ismail.

The arrival of Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin to the Parliament Square were accompanied by the Nafiri custom song played by 20 members from the Second Regiment of Royal Armour Cor, and was greeted by the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Mohd Najib and wife, Datin Seri Rosmah Mansur. Later, the National Anthem 'Negaraku' was played and the 21-gun salute was fired. The Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin then inspecting the Guard-of-Honour mounted by the First Battalion of Royal Malay Regiment consist of 103 members lead by Lt Mohd Nor Azizan Yahaya. The ceremony ended with the recitation of doa by the Mufti of Federal Territory, Datuk Wan Zahidi Wan Teh.

After the ceremony, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin later bid farewell to the line of Ministers, Head Department and foreign diplomat before departing to Bunga Raya Terminal of Kuala Lumpur International Airport and returned back to Terengganu.

Hundreds and thousand of people line up along the road from the Sultan Mahmud Airport to the Istana Maziah to welcomed the arrival of Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin to the State of Terengganu.

According to the statement release by UniMAP, the appointment has been consented by His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin.

The Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis was the first Chancellor of UniMAP who has been appointed since September 1, 2003.

HM Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and HM Tuanku Nur Zahirah arrived at Sungai Besi Camp to attend the Parade of Gratitude by the Armed Forces.

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to attend the parade at the Sungai Besi Camp, in conjunction with the completion of five-year reign of Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on December 13, 2011. His Majesty were accompanied by Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong (the Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Nur Zahirah arrived at the camp at 9 am. The National Anthem 'Negaraku' was played and a 21-gun salute was fired.

His Majesty then stood on the saluting dais and took a salute before the Guard-of-Honour mounted by 323 officers and men from the three wings of the armed forces. At the same time, five armed forces helicopters carrying the flags of Malaysia, the armed forces, the army, the navy and the air force, flew past overhead. Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin then inspected the Guard-of-Honour, which was followed by shouts of "Daulat Tuanku" by the parade personnel. The ceremony ended with the doa (prayers) recitation.

His Majesty the Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin were accompanied by Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Datuk Jamil Khir Baharom and Director-General of the Syariah Judicial Department, Tan Sri Ibrahim Lembut. Tuanku Mizan also spent some time touring the interior of the new building.

The construction of the new court complex, costing about RM96 million, began on April 10, 2006 and was completed on May 31, 2011.

His Highness Datuk Seri Diraja Dr Syed Mahmood bin Syed Hussain Jamalullail has died at 93 years old. He was previously were the former Regent of Perlis passed away at the Pantai Medical Center in Kuala Lumpur. The remains of Dr Syed Mahmood Jamalullail were brought back to Perlis for prayers at the State Mosque at 9 am this morning. His was laid to rest at the old royal mausoleum in Arau at 9.30 am. His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail and Her Royal Highness the Raja Puan Muda (Crown Princess) of Perlis, Tuanku Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil were among those who paid their last respects at the State Mosque and later went to the mausoleum located near the mosque.

Dr Syed Mahmood was the Regent of Perlis for about two years from 1960 - 1962 when the then Raja of Perlis, the late Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, was appointed as the third Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of then Federation of Malaya. He was also an uncle of the current Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Putra Jamalullail.

His Royal Highness the Tunku Temenggong of Kedah, Tunku Sallehudin ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah consent to visit the Kedahan Royal Graveyard at Kampung Kota, Permatang Pasir, Bukit Mertajam, Pulau Pinang. 8 tombs were found around the area where five of them were marked by the grave tombs. Among them were the grave of the late 20th Prince of Sultan Muhammad Jiwa, Tunku (Prince) Sulaiman and his cousin, Tunku Kutam.

According to history, Tunku Sulaiman reside in Kampung Kota from 1804 - 1845 to go into seclusion from the throne succession crisis of the 22nd Sultan of Kedah. It is also the place where Tunku Sulaiman and his brother, Sultan Ahmad Tajuddin evacuate when the Sultanate of Kedah was invaded by the Kingdom of Siam in 1821.

The State of Kedah Museum Board stated that, the graveyard will be conserved and dubbed as State Heritage Site.

The Yayasan Sultanah Bahiyah (YSB), Sultanah Bahiyah Foundation will organize an art exhibition with " Arts Into The New Millennium 2011" as its theme. It is estimated the value of the exhibition is around RM500,000 and will be held at Muzium Kesenian Islam Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur from 1 to 14 December 2011. The Chairman of YSB, Her Royal Highness Datuk Seri Tunku Puteri Intan Safinaz binti Sultan Abdul Halim said, 66 work of art by 14 Kedahan painter will be displayed at the exhibition. The exhibition is also to collect funds to the foundation from the sale of the work of arts. The ranging of the painting prices is from RM5,500 to RM22,000.

The opening of the exhibition is scheduled to be officiated by His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah on December 1 at 3pm.

In the history of Islam, it is the third and the last hijrah of Nabi Muhammad.

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin returned from a five-day working visit to scientific centres in Antarctica. Tuanku Mizan flew in to the Royal Malaysian Air Force base in Subang near here and was welcomed by senior deputy secretary-general of the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Othman Mahmood and Keeper of the Rulers' Seal Datuk Syed Danial Syed Ahmad. The visit to the South Pole was in conjunction with Malaysia's formal accession to the Antarctic Treaty 1959 on Oct 31 this year as a non-consultative member.

Tuanku Mizan was accompanied on the trip by Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili, Academy of Sciences Malaysia (ASM) Antarctica Task Force chairman Tan Sri Salleh Mohd Nor, National Antarctica Research Centre (NARC) director Prof Datuk Dr Azizan Abu Samah and Mohamad Mudanoran Mohamad Mushaari of the Malaysian National News Agency (Bernama).

Tuanku Mizan and his entourage went to Cape Royds where Shackleton's Hut is located. The hut was built by Ernest Shackleton during his expedition between 1901 and 1904. They also had a panoramic view of Barne Glacier, with its sculptures rising 30m above water level, as well as the Emperor penguins, the largest of the penguin species. The trip included a visit to Scott's Hut in Cape Evans. The hut was built by Robert Falcon Scott during his expedition to Antarctica between 1910 and 1913. Conservation works on the two huts are part of efforts to preserve the historic sites in the South Pole. The two huts have become iconic and historic destinations for researchers and scientists in Antarctica. Tuanku Mizan also had an aerial view of the Scott Research Centre.

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin visited two attractive locations in Antarctica on Wednesday before ending his visit to the South Pole. Tuanku Mizan visited the Switzerland Fish Research Centre, which conducts research on the blood content and anti-blood clot system of the various species of fish that inhabit the ocean in Antarctica. He was accompanied by Academy of Sciences Malaysia Antarctica Taskforce chairman Tan Sri Salleh Mohd Nor and the Environment Division director of New Zealand Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry, Caroline McDonald. The royal entourage also visited the McMurdo Station, a facility managed by the United States Air Force.

He was accompanied by Academy of Sciences Malaysia Antarctica Taskforce chairman Tan Sri Salleh Mohd Nor and the Environment Division director of New Zealand Foreign Affairs and Trade Ministry, Caroline McDonald.

Present to greet the King on his arrival at the Christchurch Airport were the Malaysian High Commissioner to New Zealand, Datuk Mazlan Muhammad, and officers at the High Commission. Also accompanying him from Antarctica were Commanding officer of the 13th Air Force, Joint Task Force-Security Force Antarctica, Lieutenant General Ted Kresge, and about 10 international scientists and researchers who had completed their task in the South Pole.

The Aerospace EC130 helicopter was manned by Captain Rob McPhail. Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin was first taken to Cape Royds where the Shackleton's Hut was located. The hut was built by Ernest Shackleton during his expedition between 1901 and 1904. The trip continued with a visit to Scott's Hut in Cape Evans. The hut was built by Robert Falcon Scott during his expedition to Antarctica between 1910 and 1913. It is learnt that the conservation works on the two huts were being done as an effort to preserve the historic sites for researchers and scientists in the South Pole. The two huts had become iconic and historic destinations for researchers and scientists in Antarctica.

Tuanku Mizan and his entourage were also taken to see the panoramic view of the Barne Glacier with its sculptures rising about 30 metres above water level, as well as the Emperor Penguin, which is the tallest and heaviest of all living penguin species. During the return trip, Tuanku Mizan was also given a tour and aerial view of Scott Research Centre.

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin arrived at Scott Base on Monday for a special working visit to Antarctica. The Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and his entourage arrived in the South Pole on a special United States Air Force C-17 Globe Master aircraft which landed at Pegasus Airfield, where the runway was built on frozen sea water, at about 1pm local time.

The entourage comprised, among others, Science, Technology and Innovation Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Johnity Ongkili, Academy of Sciences Malaysia Antarctica Taskforce chairman Tan Sri Salleh Mohd Nor, National Antarctica Research Centre director Prof Datuk Dr Azizan Abu Samah. Also on board the aircraft were 70 international researchers and scientists who will be conducting research in Antarctica.

HRH Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah consent to read the 16th volumes The Rulers of Malaysia, the last volume of The Encyclopedia of Malaysia series.

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah, Tuanku Abdul Halim Muad'zam Shah ibni Almarhum Sultan Badlishah consent to launch a book on the history of the monarchy, protocol, culture and royal traditions in the country. The book "The Rulers of Malaysia" is the 16th and last volume in "The Encyclopedia of Malaysia" series written by 23 historians and academicians over five years. The book consist of 80 articles and over 750 illustrations such as photos, stamps and maps.

In his statement, the Sultan congratulated chairman of the editorial advisory committee Tun Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid and the publisher for their efforts in compiling and completing the book. Also accompanied the Sultan was Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Kedah, Sultanah Haminah.

The first volume of "The Encyclopedia of Malaysia" series was first published in 1998. It took over 15 years to complete all 16 volumes. "The Rulers of Malaysia", priced at RM95 per copy, can be found at all major book stores nationwide beginning next Monday.

First of all, this special posting specially dedicated to the Malaysian Football Team under-23, Harimau Muda. Literally translated as Young Tiger. Nevertheless, even though they are still young, the tiger has the will and fighting spirit equivalent to a full-grown Malayan Tiger. Well done for winning the SEA Games 2011 Football Gold Medal for two times in a row. All Malaysians are rejoice and overjoy with your successful SEA Games 2011 Campaign.

With the Football Gold Medal, Malaysia gains her 59th gold medals. As all Malaysian dubbed it as, "The Mother of all gold medal". Congratulations again, you have make us very proud. May this victory lead us to more victories in the future. We are very glad because, "the tiger has finally woke up from its slumber."

Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin were accompanied by Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI), Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Ongkili, Academy of Sciences Malaysia Antartica Taskforce chairman Tan Sri Salleh Mohd Nor and National Antarctica Research Centre director Prof Datuk Dr Azizan Abu Samah. Tuanku Mizan was then accorded a ceremonial Maori welcome at their traditional Te Whatumanawa Maotitangao Rehua 'meeting house', after which he met briefly with several World War II veterans who had served in Malaya (at the time) before proceeding to Peppers Clearwater Resort.

Tuanku Mizan is scheduled to depart for Scott Base tomorrow and also include a visit to the nearby United State's McMurdo Station, both located on McMurdo Sound, Antarctica. Scott Base is a research facility operated by New Zealand and McMurdo Station is the continent's largest science base. Malaysia's involvement with Antarctica began when Malaysia, Antigua and Barbuda highlighted the Antarctica issue at the United Nations General Assembly in 1983. A cabinet approval in 1997 set off Malaysia's scientific research in the continent and as of last year, seven institutions of higher learning have conducted 62 expeditions, involving 60 researchers, said an earlier MOSTI statement.

His Majesty departed to Antartica at the Subang Royal Malaysian Airforce Base. The Royal Visit is in conjunction of Malaysia participation in the Antartic Treaty 1959. The visit also to strengthened the Antartic scientific researh collaboration between Malaysia and New Zealand and also to improve the bilateral relationship between the two countries.

HM Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin received the Tunas Kencana Medal from Indonesian Pramuka Chairman, Prof Dr Azrul Azwar.

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to open the 12th Malaysian Jamboree and the 2011 Terengganu International Scout Jamboree at the Telaga Batin South Camp in Seberang Takir, Kuala Terengganu. At the same event, His Majesty pronounced that the Telaga Batin South Camp was being renamed as the Tengku Muhammad Ismail Scout Camp, named after his eldest son.

The jamborees taking 'Exploring Heritage' as its theme began on Thursday and ends on November 25, involves 10,000 participants, both from local and foreign countries. Among the countries taking part are Singapore, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Japan, Nepal, Hong Kong, Maldives, Egypt, Indonesia, Kazakhstan and Brunei Darussalam.

Also accompanied His Majesty Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin was the Menteri Besar of Terengganu, Datuk Seri Ahmad Said and was received by National Chief Scout, Datuk Seri Paduka Dr Shafie Mohd Salleh.

In the statement made by His Royal Highness the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perlis who is also the Chairman of YTSP said, it was hoped that the donation would ease the victim's hardship during this difficult time, where Thailand is currently experiencing the worst floods in half a century.

New Camp for Johor Military Force (JMF)

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar consent to officiate the ground-breaking ceremony of Johor Military Force (JMF) camp at Jalan Datin Halimah, Johor Bahru. The construction of a new camp costing of RM118.7 mil located on a 51.2 acre site. The camp will be build in four phases by Johor Corporation (JCorp) and due for full completion by 2018. Also accompanied the Sultan were his two sons, His Royal Highness the Tunku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Johor, Tunku Ismail Idris and His Highness Tunku Abdul Rahman Hassanal Jefri.

The Menteri Besar of Johor, Dato' Abdul Ghani bin Othman in his statement said, the camp will be equipped with facilities and infrastructure to help members focus more on duties and responsibilities to the ruler and state. The camp is designed using the vernacular concept of Malay architecture with tropical climate features. It includes the headquarters building, surau, dining hall, shooting range, weapons and ammunition store, officers building and watchtowers.

JMF was established in 1886, making Johor the first state among the States in Malaysia to have its own army, and currently is the only State in Malaysia that has its own army. The Royal Malay Regiment (RMR) was only established in 1933. Datuk Onn bin Jaafar, Former Prime Minister Tun Hussein bin Onn and former defence forces chief Gen (Rtd) Tun Ibrahim Ismail is among the Johorean leaders who have served in Johor Military Force.

Third Anniversary

Welcome to my blog.

Today is a very special day for me as the writer of the Blog, as it is the third annyversary of Radin's Blog. This three years has been a very wonderful time for me as I developed this blog from mere nothing to what it's stand today, a Malaysian Royal Portal. In the very beginning I have never dreamt of managing a royal portal, much less writing one. But, encourage by my enthusiasm and supports by my fellow friends, I decided to write a royal portal, and in English. It is a very hard work especially for me, but nevertheless I manage to overcome it.

The Malaysian Royal Portal

I have always been a true monarchist and support every and each one of all the royal family around the world, especially to the Malay Royal Families. Where unlike any other, we're not just having one, but 9 Royal Families here in Malaysia. Each of the state eventhough share a similarities, but differs from each other. On top of that, my keen to the royal family also drives by my passion to History subject in school, even today. Anything of history especially regarding to Kings, Queens, royalty, nobility and grand palaces, I just can't left this aside.

Nevertheless, as each of this Sultans standing as a Head of State in the Federation of Malaysia, they usually left out and eclipse by the Head of the Federation, His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong himself. So, to see a portal giving a footage about Malaysian Royalties is really rare, even His Royal Highness Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah of Kedah who has ruled for more than 50 years were left out from the list of Top 10 World Longest Reigning Monarch by many.

Nevertheless, I still can tolerate with all the above until a controversial claimant of abuse arise in a marriage between the Kelantanese Prince, Tengku Muhammad Fakhry Petra and his wife Manohara in 2009. The Royal Family gets media footage from all over the world, but a bad one. Thus, from this point, we can see many of royal portal include a footage of Malaysian Royalties from at which point it is almost entirely unknown prior to the event. But, then again.. only a bad one was covered. So, what it takes to promote back the good and serene images of the Malaysian Royalty? a Malaysian. In the middle of 2010, I started a full modification of Radin's Blog from a personal blog to a royal portal. And the result is beyond my target.

Up until today, the blog received a number of 700 visitors daily. The blog also received 192 interested visitors who become the blog's follower. I am deeply grateful to all of you. And, I also wants to express my gratitude to madmonarchist and BelgieRoyalist who become one of my followers. In addition, my thanks also to the Royaltyinthenews website who kindly enough to link my blog with the rest of other Royal Blogger around the world. It really makes all my effort and hardwork has started to grow into fruitition. The National Palace ; Old and New

Today mark the historic moment in the history of Malaysian Constitutional Monarchy. The old National Palace located at Jalan Istana, Kuala Lumpur officially closed today after serving as the official residence of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong of Malaysia for 54 years, ended with pomp and pagentry. The ceremony continued with a team of flag bearers comprising 10 members of RAMD who lowered the Yang di-Pertuan Agong royal standard as the last post being played to signify the shifting of Istana Negara (National Palace) at Jalan Istana to the new Istana Negara at Jalan Duta.

The ceremony continued with the procession of the flag bearers with the ceremonial horse squadron to the palace main enterance to present the flag to Istana Negara Grand Chamberlain, Datuk Tengku Farok Husin bin Tengku Abdul Jalil who represented Istana Negara in signifying the palace's completion of duty. The flag was presented by Acting RAMD First Battalion Officer in Command, Major Mohd Kadri Abu Bakar. As symbolic closure of the monumental building with its golden dome, the Grand Chamberlain later directed the Istana Negara officer, Rosli Asri to lock the main enterance of the palace signifying all duties at Istana Negara had completed before moving to the Istana Negara at Jalan Duta for another flag raising ceremony. The teams in attendance comprised RAMD First Battalion and the Ceremonial Horse Squadron with three officers and 69 men of various ranks with 12 horses.

Among those present to witness the flag lowering ceremony were Senior Deputy Secretary General of the Prime Minister's Department who is also the chairman of National Official Ceremony, Datuk Othman Mahmood; Armed Forces (ATM) Chief of Staff Lt Gen Datuk Raja Afandi Raja Mohd Nor and ATM's Deputy Chief of Staff Maj Gen Datuk Abdul Aziz Ibrahim.

The new National Palace at Jalan Duta

Meanwhile, at the Istana Negara in Jalan Duta, a ceremony to raise the Yang di-Pertuan Agong's royal standard began at 10.25am when the Grand Chamberlain handed over the flag to a team of flag bearers to signify the commencement of duty of the Malaysian Armed Forces at the Jalan Duta Istana Negara square.

The new palace in tune with technology today uses an automated flag raiser unlike the manual approach at the old palace. Istana Negara began shifting its operations to the new complex in Jalan Duta in stages since Oct 19 while the assignment of guards from ATM began today. The bungalow was bought by the Selangor State Government and renovated to become the residence of Sultan Selangor, Sultan Sir Hishamuddin Alam Shah. The building which was made a palace of Sultan Selangor was later acquired by the Federal Government as the official residence of the first Yang Di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Rahman Tuanku Muhammad, a few weeks before the declaration of independence. Meanwhile, the new Istana Negara built with Islamic and traditional Malay features is located on a 96.52 hectare site compared to 11.34 hectare at the old palace.

It will witness the installation of the 14th Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Sultan Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah of Kedah in December.

Governor-General of Canada 4-day visits to Malaysia

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) consent to greet the arrival of Governor-General of Canada, David Lloyd Johnston who on a 4-day visit to Malaysia. The official welcoming ceremony of the Governor-General was held at the Parliament Square, Kuala Lumpur. David Lloyd Johnston arrived at the Parliament Square at 10.10 am and were greeted by His Majesty the Supreme King and Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as well as cabinet ministers.

The national anthem of both countries were played by the first battalion of the Royal Malay Regiment. Later, Governor-General Johnston inspected the guard-of-honour mounted by four officers and 102 men of the battalion headed by Major Muhammad Abdullah. A 21-gun salute was fired simultaneously. Her Majesty the Raja Permaisuri Agong (the Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Nur Zahirah consent to attend the 19th Islamic Fashion Festival 2011 ceremony held at Hotel J.W Marriot, Kuala Lumpur. The party which adopt "Oriental Charm" featured the latest Islamic fashion creations. The festival will be held for five days until 18 November 2011 and will featured 14 fashion shows involving 60 local and foreign fashion designers. Among the local designers taking part in the IFF are Datuk Tom Abang Saufi, Datuk Radzuan Radziwill, Datuk Farah Khan and Albert King.

At the event, Her Majesty the Queen also presented tokens of appreciation to local fashion designers Sheba Yip and Andy Ho and Itang Yunasz from Indonesia.

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Kedah, Tuanku Abdul Halim Muadzam Shah consent to open the 4th session of Kedah State Assembly Seating at Wisma Darul Aman, Alor Setar, Kedah. Also accompanied the Sultan were Her Royal Highness the Sultanah of Kedah, Sultanah Haminah binti Hamidon. Prior to the opening of the State Assembly Seating, His Royal Highness inspecting the guard-of-honour in conjunction of the ceremony.

From the past 10 - 12th November 2011, the State of Kelantan rejoice with the celebration of the Birthday of the Al-Sultan of Kelantan. His Royal Highness the Sultan Muhammad V consent to attend to the celebration and inspecting the guard-of-honour at Padang Merdeka, Kota Bharu, Kelantan. The arrival of the Sultan were greeted by Menteri Besar of Kelantan, Datuk Nik Abdul Aziz bin Nik Mat. Also present at the ceremony were His Royal Highness the Tengku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Kelantan, Tengku Muhammad Fa-iz Petra.

The three days celebration followed by the State Honorary Medal and Award conferred Ceremony in the following day held at the throne chamber of Istana Balai Besar, Kota Bharu. 613 recipients were enlist to receive the State Medals and Awards for this year, where 25 of them received Datukship. Chief of Malaysian Army, General Tan Sri Zulkifeli bin Mohd Zain. He received the Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Kelantan Yang Teramat Mulia (Al-Muhammadi I), (SPMK)

The themed for the celebration this year are "Islam Dijunjung, Raja Disanjung, Rakyat Dipayung", brought the meaning of "Islam is upheld, the King is honoured, and the people is protected."

Al-Sultan of Kelantan Birthday Celebration

From 10th to 12th November 2011, the State of Kelantan rejoice for the first ever Birthday Celebration of His Royal Highness the Al-Sultan of Kelantan, Sultan Muhammad V. This year celebration was the first birthday official celebration of the Sultan since his proclamation as the Al-Sultan of Kelantan on 13th September 2010. In conjunction of the birthday celebration, 613 recipients will received the State Honorary Medal and Award of Kelantan Darul Naim.

Congratulations to the Al-Sultan of Kelantan in conjunction of His Royal highness 42nd Birthday Celebration. Wishing His Royal Highness may reign in peace and harmony, with fair and justice.

His Royal Highness the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah consent to officiate the ground-breaking ceremony of Bangunan Sultan Idris Shah Selangor and Federal Territory Spastic Children Association at Petaling Jaya, Selangor. In the ceremony, the Sultan mingled with the disabled teenagers, Janice Kim Kam Choo and Mohd Irwan Hakeem Sidek who succeeded in climbing the Mount Kinabalu.

Their Majesties Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin and Tuanku Nur Zahirah were presented with the arrival performance of Silat at the Royal Concert. Also can be seen were Deputy Prime Minister, Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and wife, Puan Sri Norainee Abdul Rahman.

His Majesty the Yang di-Pertuan Agong (the Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia, Tuanku Mizan Zainal Abidin consent to attend the Konsert Diraja 2011 themed the rulers and people's togetherness at Istana Budaya, Kuala Lumpur. Accompanied the Yang di-Pertuan Agong were Her Royal Highness the Raja Permaisuri Agong (the Supreme Queen) of Malaysia, Tuanku Nur Zahirah. The concert was jointly organised by the Information, Communications and Culture Ministry, Istana Negara, Prime Minister's Department and Filem Negara.

The royal couple was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin and his wife Puan Sri Noorainee Abdul Rahman to the concert. Also attending the concert were Information, Communications and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Dr Rais Yatim and his wife Datin Seri Masnah Rais.

The two-hour concert was divided into two segments, with the first featuring visuals, music, songs and dances, and the second saw the combined performance of the RTM Orchestra and Istana Budaya National Symphony Orchestra. The traditional dances presented were the Palace Dance, a Middle Eastern dance and Orang Asli dance, besides those of various ethnic groups in this country.
