Ikebana Dinner

HRH Tuanku Raja Zarith Sofia ibni Almarhum Sultan Idris Shah gave her consent to attend the International Ikebana Johor Bahru Association 235‘s (II JB 235) 20th Anniversary Celebration which held at Mutiara Hotel, Johor Bahru. Also attend the ceremony is the Presiden of II JB 235, HH Tunku Shahariah binti Tuanku Abd Rahman, daughter of the first Yang di-Pertuan Agong (The Supreme Ruler) of Malaysia. The ceremony also greeted the nine former President of the Association for their contribution to the club. The Association was founded 20 years ago teaching the art and beauty of Ikebana arrangement which originated from Japan.

In the event, the clubs also deliver a contribution worth of RM10,000 for the Tsunami victims in Japan to the Japanese Consulate in Johor, Yoichiro Nishimura.

HRH Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah delivers a contribution worth of RM5,000 to Pn Jamiah Din, mother of Allayarham Shahrul Nurimran Adnan


HRH the Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah gave his consent to visit the orphanage and Madrasah Al-Taqwa, which suffers a landslide and resulted 16 deaths. The Sultan arrives at 10.30am and given a briefing by Kajang’s Chief of Police, Asst. Commissioner Abdul Rashid Abd Wahab and Datuk Ir Ashaari Mohamad. In the visits, the Sultan has delivers a contribution of RM10,000 per person to 16 relatives of the death who were killed in the landslide. They also receives an addition of RM5,000 per person by Majlis Agama Islam Selangor (MAIS), Selangor Islamic Religious Council and Selangor State Government. 37 Students who survived the tragedy received RM1,000 each.

The Sultan of Selangor later delivers a contribution worth of RM100,000 to the orphanage represented by Dr. Idris Musa, the President of Malaysian Orphanage Association.

The son of HRH the Raja Muda (Crown Prince) of Perak, HH Raja Azlan Muzaffar Shah made his first ever public appearance in conjunction of Larian Hari Keputeraan Sultan Perak 2011, which held in the area of Royal City Kuala Kangsar. The three years old prince wearing a blue shirt was registered in the event, but he does not participated in the run, but playing with his mother, HRH Tuanku Zara Salim Davidson instead. The young prince gets the public attention especially with his playing behavior.

Almost 3000 participants participate in the event, consist of 10 categories. HRH Raja Nazrin also participates in the run. The event was started by the Sultan of Perak’s youngest daughter, Raja Yong Sofia.

RM200,000 contributions

HRH the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar gave his consent to delivered a RM200,000 check to six schools and associations contribute by CIMB Group (CIMB). The Sultan was accompanied by HRH the Tunku Mahkota (Crown Prince) of Johor, Tunku Ismail Idris Ibni Sultan Ibrahim. Schools and association who receives the contribution are Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Sultan Ibrahim, Johor’s Spastic Children Association, Special People Welfare Association, Darul Hanan Orphanage, Less Intelligent People Welfare Association and Mentally retarded Child Care Association. The contribution ceremony was held in conjunction of Supercar Charity Challenge (SCC) 2011 at Hotel Selesa, Pasir Gudang.

Also attend the ceremony are CIMB’s Head of Retail Financial Services, Peter England and SCC 2011’s Chairman, Roslan Rosdi. Others Association’s Chairmen and members also present in the ceremony.

HRH Sultan Ibrahim of Johor officiate the opening ceremony of Kembara Mahkota Johor 2011 witnessed by HRH Tunku Ismail Idris, the Crown Prince of Johor and Datuk Seri Abd Ghani Othman

HRH the Sultan of Johor, Sultan Ibrahim ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar gave his consent to officiate the Pre-Launching Ceremony of the 14th Session of Kembara Mahkota Johor (Johor Royal Entourage). This year session will seen the KMJ shall using the Motorcycles, 4-Wheel Drives and Boats. The annual event shall be held from 18 to 21st June 2011. The theme for this year is “Environmental Care is our responsibility”. The 4 days entourage shall started at Jetty of Tanjung Palace and will end at Bangunan Sultan Abu Bakar, both are in Muar District. The entourage shall tour all the 10 Districts of Johor and for the first time handle by the Johor’s State Secretary Department.

Accompanied the Sultan is HRH the Crown Prince of Johor, Tunku Ismail Idris ibni Sultan Ibrahim. Also presences in the ceremony are the Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Johor, Datuk Abd Ghani Othman and Johor Tourism Exco, Hoo Seong Chang.

HRH Sultan Azlan Shah accompanied by Dr Zambry and Ambrin Buang watching the replica of Wisma Audit Negeri Perak

HRH the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Azlan Shah ibni Sultan Yusuf gave his consent to officiate the opening ceremony of Wisma Audit Negeri Perak which located at Bandar Meru Raya, Ipoh. In the ceremony, the Sultan reminded the State’s Auditor to always uphold the ethics of the profession. The Sultan Azlan Shah also announces the State Revenue has increased to RM793 mil in 2010 compare to only RM643 mil in 2009.

Presences in the ceremony are HRH the Raja Permaisuri (Queen) of Perak, Tuanku Bainun; HRH Raja Di-Hilir of Perak, Raja Jaafar ibni almarhum Raja Musa; HRH Raja Puan Muda of Perak, Raja Nor Mahani binti Raja Shahar Shah; The Menteri Besar (Chief Minister) of Perak, Datuk Seri Dr. Zambry and National Chief Auditor, Tan Sri Ambrin Buang.
